  • Thanks much for these vids. So helpful. One vid did not hae a comment box under it, the one on drawing hair, so I will ask a Q here of anyone who knows. What is that big blue plastic thing being held, with a white point at the end, that removed color for highlights on the hair? I assume it is some kind of electric eraser? (I got a much smaller version. The eraser doesn't last long so seems kinda pricey to moi, but I'm curious on all that's out there.) Thanks for any answers.

  • I have only been drawing realistically for 2 years or less, but I find it hard to create a soft texture; I want to get rid of the grainy textures. I am aware that one tip is to smudge them, but it always gets messy and still looked like a mere sketch. Are there any useful techniques to blending which you can share?

  • Where could I get those kind of reference pictures for practicing?

  • @aDotFromTheFuture Hi! I'm Michelle, I work with Darrel! You can find reference photos used in the drawing studies (rose, denim, strawberry, dog, kitty, feathers & water) on their respective pages on the 5PM website, you can also find reference photos on hair & mouths on our site, I'll publish the links to those in the description of the video above.

  • @5PencilMethod (continued) We have yet to release the reference photos for noses yet, but I'll provide the link for where they will be available when they're ready. Thanks -Michelle
