Jak X: Combat Racing (PS2) Online with Xlink Kai [7/19/2010]

Damn it I feel like such a mother fucker not picking this up when the servers were still up. How's XLink Kai hold up?

When i downloaded xlink kai, my virus security said there was a virus in it.

Config.exe is a virus! Type: trojan. only download if yor virus security is hard enough!!!! (Hope this works without that config...)

@naputtelija Well I never have gotten an alert from it and I use AVG. It is not a virus. I have been using xlink kai for 3 years and my pc has never been harmed.

@naputtelija actually, many antivirus programs take precautions of files that have not been downloaded a lot, and they take it as a threat.

If i have a router, can play online on my ps2? Currently, i play wii and ps3 online, but i was just wondering if i would have no problem playing ps2 online unless something is missing.

@RealBigDeal22 Yes you can use a router to play ps2 online. However you have to have your ps2 connected to it with a wire.

How are xlink Servers? Are there alot of ps2 games? or PSP? I am thinking of setting this up. Also will this work with emulators?

@shrek209100 This game is not online any more normally. The servers were taken offline. You have to use a LAN tunneling program called Xlink Kai to play this online now. If you get that setup we can play it online.

@RealGamersTV Well we plan games ahead of time or through instant messengers for using Xlink Kai with ps2 online games. You usually wont find anyone on if you randomly log on.

Just ordered a ps2 network adaptor....want to play some timesplitters and several games online!! =D

@RealGamersTV Well, Xlink Kai is a LAN tunneling program. You run it on your PC and it lets you play PS2 games online if they have a LAN mode. I linked Xlink Kai's homepage in the video description. Visit their site and read the FAQ at the top of their homepage to learn how XLink works and how you would set it up.

@Lazyhoboguy Yeah thanks i have had a look and i know how it works :) All i need now is the ps2 network adaptor and to then configure everything. Once i have it working ill inform you, maybe we can play some timeeplitters and jak lol

@RealGamersTV Yea hopefully you get it setup and we can play. Remember too for PS2 games you need version 7.3.1.7 of Xlink. The newer versions do not work with PS2. You can find version 7.3.1.7 on their homepage if you scroll down.
