  • "These silly words, like super... eh... superc... ehhh... Superc...."

    "Supercalifragalisticexpialadocious."

"Yes, well done, you said it!"

One of the funniest lines in the movie :D

  • Press 5: Vagilisticexpialidocious.

  • nice song

  • Yes, well done, you said it :)

  • Tea Parties on the ceiling? Quite questionable indeed. They're bad enough with their feet on the ground.

  • This is how your boss tells you off in the old days lmao

  • You know, I would have killed to have a nanny like Mary Poppins when I was little and I think she's awesome, but when you really think about it she's kind of a bitch LOL!! you know what I mean???

  • super-ca- superca... super....ca....

  • excuse me- are you ill?... hmmm: i'll give you two weeks.

  • I love the way Mr Banks stares directly at the audience, as if he were rebuking or instructing YOU. Those are some awesome directorial choices. What he says reads like a Ministry of Education directive!

  • "Yes! Well done! You've said it." =)

  • i love how she turns the tables on him

  • Oh I LOVE this movie!!! I watched it every day when I was little and by age five I memorized the entire movie!!!

  • Hahaha, I love this part. Her expressions throughout the whole "conversation" are amazing. Especially the way her eyes widen after Banks says "MORAL DISINTEGRATION!" XD

  • I wish I was as manipulative as Mary Poppins.

  • tomorrow just as you suggest, pressed and dressed, jain and michael will be at you side!

  • I like how the father made a turn around at the end.

  • "Very good you said it! " lmao.

  • It's never too late to have your tea party on the ceiling. Although, if you're the suit wearing type, you may want to ease into it.

    My suggestion?

Lets... go... fly a kite. :)

  • I think it is funny that I grew up on Disney movies, and now I work in a dull financial institution hoarding people's money and wearing a dark suit every day. Sigh. I would have liked *one* tea party on the ceiling. :(

  • The ironic thing is, it's the attitude of Mary Poppins as espoused by Hollywood, that people, whether children or no, should be able to "have what they want when they want", which led us all on this merry jig up the garden path.

If more people had been like Mr Banks we wouldn't be in this mess and that's a fact.

Prudence and discipline should no longer be ridiculed.

  • The point is supposed to be that Mr. Banks is forcing his kids to lose their childhood, because he expects them to be like adults. Mary Poppins doesn't let them have whatever they want when they want it, she just enables them to use their imaginations and savor their childhood while it lasts.

  • Well... I quite agree :)

  • @maverickgoose123 But Mister Banks himself suffers from the harsh discipline of his bosses :( I think it should be a mixture, just like Mary Poppins acts around the children :)

That's with children, but I guess you mean adults. If you do, then the motivation for the discipline and prudence should be a pleasant one and not come from a wrong motivation (like fear, I mean Mister B., or greed in case of his bosses).

I don't know how to say that so it is understandable.

    Mary does it to help.

  • these silly words like - suhpurcuh-supercah-sooperca...

    supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.

yes, well done, you said it. -and popping through pictures...

    LMAO

  • I love the way Mr. Banks doesn't even question the likelihood of the children actually 'popping through pictures',--he just objects to it because it doesn't sound proper or traditional!

  • why would he bother with taking Jane to the bank?? this is 1910 afterall.

  • I always wondered that myself. It seems a tad anachronistic.

  • Probably so she could appreciate the work her father (and other men) do.

  • I love it when people put the music to stuff like this up! Its a great help. I just wish more people put up stuff. I also wish that someone would put up the whole album with scores ....

  • Tomorrow just as you suggest, pressed and dressed, Jane and Michael will be at your side!

  • Boy did she turn the tables on him. :D

  • This scene always cracks me up. Brilliantly played by both actors.

  • You took the words out of my mouth!! You're absolutely right!!

  • david tomlinson was excellent in mary poppins. i absolutely loved this film, it will always be my favourite film of all time.

    this is a great seen.

  • ive been looking for this song for ages thank you so much for putting this up
