I use to recorde my beats with tape recorders. I had three. I would recorde one beat, drums with one. Then I would tape pans being smashed to make a symbol sound. Play them at the same time to get a Two beat then Record them togeather. Erased them then start over by adding a new beat making a new sounds with diffrent insturments.
