  • Hi there I just got a 800g and I am having trouble adding contacts--I hit contact, add, first name and then the (phone keyboard) comes up & Im trying to add home but everytime I hit the GHI key I keep getting Hi and can't get rid of the i to go to the next key (MNO) to get the O. So now my home is spelled HIGH! and my friend faith is EFFACED. How to get it to only take the letters and not think for me?

  • @malleycc You can edit your LG800 contact listing. Select the contact you want to edit by selecting it in your contact/address book. Press the button to the left of the middle "call" button. After which you'll see at the top a selection to edit the contact entry. At the button of this edit area is a "More" button that lets you edit more on that contact you have open to edit. Hope that helps. : )

  • Does Tracphone offer an unlimited plan like straight talk or net10

  • @kes1912 I don't think TracFone has an unlimited plan, the longest I've seen is the 1 Year w1000 mins card. With the LG800g phone what every number of minutes card I do buy every 3 months I get double the mins with this phone. Starting to see some newer TracFones with Triple Minutes when you do the service top off. Was thinking to do a upgrade to a phone with Triple Minutes but for now I'm very happy with the current LG800g. Sorry it's taken me awhile to respond back at you. : )

  • i got this 4 Xmas and screwed it up by putting old sim in the phone and putting new sim in old phone and the sim card is rejected so i have to buy a cheap tracfone so i can get another sim :/

  • @DaPhenomAce Sorry to hear that. Hope you got it fix so you can be on the grid with the LG800g

  • woops sorry meant to say *unboxing* i actually switched over to tracfone recently, and you're right! much more efficient :D haha

  • thanks for the review!!!

  • @456whyhellothere Thank you for your view. Sorry it's taken me awhile to respond back at you. : )

  • get net 10 bro its same as tracfone but lotz cheaper and more minutes... they make a 300 mins and 60 day card and it does me wonders.. there are also 25$ dollar month plans where u get 750 mins and 30 days for 25$ and its good too... from what i saw tho.. net 10 is way cheaper

  • @ericburger21 Net 10 has it's pluses but I do like TracFone and it's support services through their web page. The pay as you go works for me and I don't need a month plan because the every 90 days topping off with TracFone more than meets my daily cell phone needs. Sorry it's taken me awhile to respond back at you. : )

  • I've always had Tracfone and I'm Excited to get this phone. I have heard of alot of People having problems with texting. Have you had any problems with anything. I can always call Customer service if I have a problem. I have an Ipod touch too. I use my Ipod to text from home too.

  • @cellomoon I do txt on it and really don't have any issues once I got use to it. Touch pad is a bit chunky but ok. I do really like the phone and sorry it's taken me awhile to respond back at you. : )

  • Using tracfone for 15 years? Now thats what i call loyalty and commitment my friends and i actually like tracfone .. its simple its cheap its retro and best of all you save alot of money ... besides people have the ipod touch to play games and watch movies and hear music.. a cellphone is just to call and text... your labtop is made for web browsing

  • sweet phone where did you get it at and for how much

  • I got my phone 2 days ago :)

  • i ordered 2 of these phones one for me and one for my brother.. i use tracfones all the time i get one every like 2 years and im very hard on them, i always have them in my pocket no matter what im doing.. i ride quads and tend to drop them alot im a mechanic so they are always getting smashed in my pocket.. i was wondering if this phone is going to last? how easy does it scratch? how tough is the screen? is it going to unlock in my pocket? o.o maybe this isnt the right phone for me

  • im a tracfone fan too. my first phone was a tracphone

  • thanks for the video rich. question: when you upgrade your tracfone # and minutes to the new phone, are all of your contacts and saved messages still on your old one? or does the upgrade wipeout the SIM?

  • @jshank I ended up getting a new SIM card when TracFone ported over my Trac Ph# from old phone. My minutes from old phone were transfered over with the help of TracFone. As for contact list, I had to manually re-type them in. I only have a few on old phone so np re-typing them into new LG800G. Oh, old messages are on old phone still. Thanks for the view & the comment.

  • @fashionista3577 Very good point and nice observation. lol Thank you for your comment. : )

  • you've had the phone for 1 week now so do you think you can do a review...please please please!!

  • @UzThatSavageGuy waiting on getting a 4gig miniSD card for it. Found you need one installed to use bluetooth to do pic transfers between phone & PC. Want to try that before doing a review. Have to say not a bad phone so far. Calls I've made are clear and people I've talk to on it say I sound louder then on my old LG3280 flip phone.

  • do a review!!!

  • @mouthomi I plan on doing one here after playing around with the LG800G for a bit. I have to wait a week or so for a new SIMMS card from TracPhone so at this time. Had something to do with porting my current Ph #, which I want. Don;t need a new one. I haven't been able to play around with web or txt features yet and I'm disappointed that I won't be using bluetooth between it & iPod, just won't work. Checking other features and I'll be doing a review once I have service to my LG800G. : )

  • Sorry about the double posts. I posted once from my iPad which doesn't have Flash and didn't tell me the comments had to be approved. So I moved to the Mac Mini and posted from there. I may be stupid, but I'm persistent. LOL

  • @billtvmacon No problem on double post . Sort of surprised how many views, right from the get go, this is actually getting for such an ordinary YouTube. lol Not complaining but interesting observation I'm noticing. I thought at most maybe 20-30 views.

    @FiremanRich : )

  • Can you connect it the internet using wifi hotspots and by pass the need to use your minutes for data? So... I guess what I am asking is, "Could I connect it to my home wireless internet network instead of connecting it to the web through tracfone's 2.5G network?"

  • @kennyalancramer No wifi capability on the LG800G and it won't connect to a home wireless network. It's pay as you go when using the web on the TracPhone, I beleve you pay .5 units per 1 minute of web use. To txt it's .3 units for each txt message sent, and same for receiving txt. I've been checking out the bluetooth between LG800G and iPod Touch and afraid that it doesn't work. So that leaves me to txt any pic I take with LG800G to my iPod to be used in a Audioboo I may record.

  • I use a Go Phone which is about the same thing. Hardly ever use it. Great unboxing video, I also got partially hypnotized by your screen saver.

  • @billtvmacon Thanks Bill. Was a short notice one and I wasn't expecting the box with new LG800G on that Friday. Said what the heck lets make a YouTube on it. Had fun doing the YouTube too. Not sure what happen with the mic sound at about the 7:20-7:30 time on my Zi8? Think I might have picked up some interference on my FD/Police scanner. Usually I have it turned off during any video recording. In unboxing video I just turned vol down.

  • I love unboxing videos. I use AT&T's Go Phone which is the same thing. break video. As an added bonus I was also partially hypnotized by your screen saver.

  • @billtvmacon @billtvmacon lol The screen saver is from Electric Sheep. Google name for link. It's a free download and pretty neat.Thank you for the comment too. : )
