This mag is great! If your gun has a CNC steel receiver and bolt. But steel receiver for gbb m4 does not exist. So this mag is simply a gun destroyer.
Things that will break if c02 is used:
- lower receiver, where buffer tube is held
- upper receiver, since you would need a much stronger buffer spring. The bolt will hammer the front of the receiver by the hop-up chamber.
- when the receiver is broken, the whole gun is broken.
hay guys, I finely got the simple CO2 Madbull adapter which fits on my paintball tank, so I can't regulate the pressure, I filled up my Prowin Mag Ver 2 with it (and the liquid also went threw, so not just gas) and it held it, tried firing with it, but the trigger hammer spring is too week to push in the valve on the prowin mag when filled with CO2 (and I already have the G&P stronger trigger spring) so next step is a custom trigger spring, and another go at it......
can someone explain to me what i need to do to the internals of a g&p gbb m4 before i could use it with co2? so far i've replaced the bolt carrier to a ra-tech steel bolt and a much stronger buffer spring.
Magna magazine have a problem with holding propane already and yet you demand something greater...DUDE a 12g CO2 mag has such a thick case for a reason. its hard to hold anything at 800psi.
@kullwarrior whats the point in using CO2 thats not at full pressure? it's nothing but a marketing tactic. i can fill the mag with regular air at the same PSI, but claiming that it's holding HPA is bull shit.
as for a 12g CO2 cartridge, it's wall thickness is really thin, it's only .035 inches. the difference here is that the cartridge is made from quality steel.
i may come off as a snob to you, but being a mechanical engineer it pisses me off when people praise bad engineering.
@kullwarrior you know this as much as i do, that building something like this in Canada is borderline illegal.
the last i checked, you gave up on the WA system and switched to an external air rig.
for all you know i could very well be working on something of my own. i wont disclose anything as of yet, since the last thing i need is to have my designs copied by some cheap asian manufacturer.
thanks for the kind words anyways, i can always use more motivation.
@futurerev21 thank you for the kind words.. i think. oh and congrats on contributing nothing to the discussion.
gotta love it when people with the engineering experience equivalent to plugging a toaster into an outlet, think what ever they post is of any value, to anyone. surprise surprise, now that these mags have been out for a while, the feed back has been as expected. good try though.

he's using a regulator. the CO2 is not at full pressure. i would like to see it hold liquid CO2 before this mag impresses me.

@fhadynamo well then my mechanical engineer design something better at the same price, I'm sure you'll make a fortune.
