  • MGD rather piss on the chicken

  • you burned it....

  • กูหิวข้าวววว...สัส

  • Have not tried this because of concerns about paint and aluminum. I wonder if the same flavor could be achieved by marinating the bird in beer for 24 hours? My BBQ Sauce for Amateurs would go nicely on this! Thanks for a great video!

  • @AnotherAmateur Worry no more :) There is a stainless steel device designed by BBQ master, Steven Raichlin, and available on Amazon that will take away all of your concerns. I would love to post the link but YT is preventing me. Do a search and you should have not trouble finding it. Thanks for the feedback. -Kirk

  • GO KIRK GO! That thermometer tip was wonderful! I would have never thought to do that outside on the grill. When you're outside you're having fun not paying attention...excellent tip!

  • @Stressed2Capacity Thanks so much. -Kirk

  • @Candiceseesu you can absolutely do this in an oven. Set it to 350 degrees fahrenheit and you're good to go.

  • you forgot to tuck your wings behind the chiken well now i think i'm ready to make my own chicken thanks for the tips

  • What was the temperature of the grill?

  • Anywhere between 35 and 375 will work fine.

  • While people have been doing this for years, I can't say that heated painted aluminum is the best thing for you. If you have worries, certain cooking stores sell unpainted stainless steel versions.

  • isnt the metal from the can poisonous once it gets hot? just wondering here

nice vid btw looks soooooo tasty

  • Zombie, absolutely right about the variance in grills, as well as the usefulness of aluminum foil. In terms of the beer adding flavor to the chicken, I'm a romantic so don't spoil it for me :)

  • His grill has a lot of venting in the top. Many beer-can birds get burnt breasts because they collect too much heat in the top of the covered grill.

Don't be afraid to cover the top of the bird loosely with a sheet of aluminum foil, until the final browning stage. Every grill is different, of course.

I think the beer in the can for flavor is largely a hoax. I drink the beer and use water instead. Make up your own minds as far as that goes. :)

  • Classic! I always wanted to know how this was done. Thank you for the excellent instructions.
