They have noted the popularity of RE 4 on the Wii and are now milking that with old product to sucker the fans for as much as they can get. I'm not interested in the earlier RE games, been there done that and on the rails shooters are "snack food" compared to a FPS like RE 4. This smacks of the kind of strategy thought up by bean-counters not those interested in gaming or gamers.
RE4 came a month after the pc version so im guessing thats what will happen with the wii version. RE4 has still amazing graphics and that was made on the gamecube. Resident evil is much better for wii, and yes RE4 wii is better then 360 re5, i own both.
Look at Dead Rising: Chop till you drop. that's basically a port of a 360 game to the wii, and they made it work simply by using Resident Evil 4's graphics engine. Resident Evil 5 could employ the same method if it were ported to the Wii, just use Resident Evil 4's engine.

ok i emailed capcom and they said it wasnt confirmed that it won't come out for wii and not confirmed that it's not on the wii, so theres a good chance that it will because they never said no, and with all this support it will probably influence capcom to make RE5 for wii.

RE4 stil has good graphics to this day, they wouldn't any worse then that and I've seen gameplay photos of RE5 for wii and the graphics almost match up to the 360. It's not quite 360 graphics but still amazing. If you call RE4 a nightmare then your drunk. If RE4 was that good for wii, why can't RE5

I think a problem they may have with making this for wii is that the coop mode. How will it work in split screen with the aiming at the sensor bar. The split screen will cut off aim. But I really hope they make this for wii!

Its because they didn't put enough effort to their work on the game. Its not the system, genius. We've already seen what the Wii is capable of in terms of gameplay and graphics. Look at Mario Galaxy; its visuals are close in par with 360, Prime 3, MoH: H2 and The Conduit (CoD5 doesn't count for shit) who proved FPS controls are perfect for the Wii platform and surpasses the dual stick controls (which are very slow in comparsion) and GH: WT and Rock Band who brought full DLC support to Wii.

Yeah. It's possible to have online/offline co-op. Wii is already online ready and it has system registry so when connected online and found your registered friends playing the same game, you can invite them to play the campaign. I hope in the Wii Edition, Capcom would add online for Mercenaries, extra and bonus contents and DLC.

Resident Evil 5 on Wii, definately. I've always loved the resident evil series. Maybe the graphics wont be as good as 360 or PS3 but its Resident Evil and i find that like Resident Evil 4 the controls would be wicked. Come on release on the wii

The wii on the other hand could make it extremely easy to aim, if they keep the same "point, fire, kill" system on RE4. This game should be brought to wii, it would be best on the wii.

ok i emailed capcom and they said it wasnt confirmed that it won't come out for wii and not confirmed that it's not on the wii, so theres a good chance that it will because they never said no, and with all this support it will probably influence capcom to make RE5 for wii.

RE4 stil has good graphics to this day, they wouldn't any worse then that and I've seen gameplay photos of RE5 for wii and the graphics almost match up to the 360. It's not quite 360 graphics but still amazing. If you call RE4 a nightmare then your drunk. If RE4 was that good for wii, why can't RE5

well I gotta hand it down to your solidfrizz and say I dont like the sticky controls no more. Sure they are precise and always responsive but for me it's not as fun anymore. So no I am not playing playing Chris Redfield like he was a remote controlled toy soldier. If they dont bring it to the wii then so be it I mean I think there will be more of RE's coming up so really it's not the end of the world. Thanks for the offer though :p I appreciate it :p

the question whether it would be on the wii, whether it's gonna have good controls on the wii and is it gonna look nice on the wii are totally different questions so please let's not be judging and hatin just because the wii dont have gud gfx that RE5 wont be on it. I guess the real answer would really come from the developers themselves but as for the visual aspects of the game and controls, wii dont complain wii just have fun.

I think a problem they may have with making this for wii is that the coop mode. How will it work in split screen with the aiming at the sensor bar. The split screen will cut off aim. But I really hope they make this for wii!

Its because they didn't put enough effort to their work on the game. Its not the system, genius. We've already seen what the Wii is capable of in terms of gameplay and graphics. Look at Mario Galaxy; its visuals are close in par with 360, Prime 3, MoH: H2 and The Conduit (CoD5 doesn't count for shit) who proved FPS controls are perfect for the Wii platform and surpasses the dual stick controls (which are very slow in comparsion) and GH: WT and Rock Band who brought full DLC support to Wii.

Yeah. It's possible to have online/offline co-op. Wii is already online ready and it has system registry so when connected online and found your registered friends playing the same game, you can invite them to play the campaign. I hope in the Wii Edition, Capcom would add online for Mercenaries, extra and bonus contents and DLC.

Let's be realistic about this. Wii has more power than those fandork and third party haters give them credit for. Wii still has great graphics despite not having HD built-in, it's online ready (16-32 players, VC, DLC, online Co-Op, and more), and possesses kick-ass controls never used before in a home console. The Wii has the power and you guys are undermining its boundless potential. With the use of Capcom's RE4 engine but gradually enhanced, its very possible to port RE5 with everything in it.

Also the wii would make this game reach its full potiental because of its unique controls. i find with the xbox the control sticks to difficult to aim with. The wii on the other hand could make it extremely easy to aim, if they keep the same "point, fire, kill" system on RE4. This game should be brought to wii, it would be best on the wii.

I really want that game for my Wii cause the controlls of the ps3 version frustrates me and online I am more a handycap then a help.
I would have 2 options, NOT playing Resi 5 or buying an xbox 360, anyways you would lose 1 customer cause I start hating you, first was Resi 4 Cube exclusive and then... and part 5 not for my Nintendo colleciton?
