@ChrisBaileyMusic The BMW weighs about as much as the polo, and has either a ~300hp 3,6 L in line 6 cylinder or a 400hp V8 engine - both came on the e34 M5. The polo on the other hand has a 300hp MAX 1.9 L turbo diesel (witch is VERY IMPRESSIVE). So either the cars have the same performance, or the BMW has more muscle. And let me tell you, it's EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to get even 200hp out of that 1.9, let alone 300, and not have it blow it's pistons trough the cylinder head.

Care to fill me, when TDI's became drag cars and therefor SHOULd have won? I'd say its a pretty damn good showing for a 1.9l TDI in a sub-compact car, now wouldnt you? @bharvey2010 You really don't know much about diesels do you? A diesel is lower rev'd and has higher low-end torque. Petrol cars, conversely, are higher rev'd and make their power on the top end. That very same car (Bulijoe's TDI just so we know we're talking about the same vehicle) has run 10's in the 1/4 and smoked a Viper. It's all in how it's tuned and how a person drives it.
