Meeting Roy Buchanan was one of the greatest thrills of my life. I never stopped missing him since 1988, but his music lives on. He certainly left his mark on me.
Far as I'm concerned, there is not now, nor will there ever be another Roy Buchanan. His inspired calmness, effortless precision and his abiity to walk a higher path spiritually which was expressed through his guitar and stage presence. I don't think Roy realized how he inspired a generation of players (including myself). Truly from a bygone era, I often fhink that Roy gave so much of himself in each note that he left a part of himself in each of us. Rest in peace Roy...
