when you're at this level, there is no better than or worse than. there are just different kinds of awesome. meshuggah goes a step further by pushing into the epic category. really the only band that i have listened to that is in the same category for me is tool. obviously they sound completely different but the effect they have on me is the same. i think that's where the differences lie in bands, the effect they have on the listener.

disagree, i think Lamb of God and Devildriver are better along with all that remains. i am a fan of meshuggah tho its just that they kinda suck live and there songs sound the same alot. i cant wait to get a million thumbs down and negative comments

And you're going to try and tell me that Dez and DD have been putting out such ground-breaking, amazing music for all these years? And All That Remains? Sure I understand you like them more, but your not trying to tell me that these bands are more talented or ground-breaking than Meshuggah? DD and LoG have music that at the end of the day is fairly simplistic, whereas Meshuggahs - not so much. It took Tomas 5 months to teach himself his own song (Bleed). He has to replicate that every night.

yea i just think their albums are way nicer to listen to. im not so much into their guitarist but i do think their singer sounds amazing and their drummer is pretty damn talented. i just dont enjoy listening to more than like 5 of their songs in 1 day but i have listened to LOGs newest album like 3 times in one day. i think they all are pretty amazing

My point being - for bands like (and ESPECIALLY) Meshuggah, my hat goes off to them for being able to replicate these songs every night. No I'm not flaming you or calling you names, nor will I bother with those lamb thumbs down or anything, but you have to understand how hard what they do must be - their music has so much depth, so many odd time sigs and cues. You have to understand, nay - appreciate that somewhat. Btw - DD and LoG - awesome bands. Seen both more times than I have Meshuggah.
