my english springer used to love playing and burying her head in the snow too... but each winter she would get an ear infection... the vet said it had to do with bacteria in the snow getting in her ears... do your spaniels get ear infections too?

we used to have a springer, she was a great, great dog. Lived 12 years. Now, a few years later, we have finally found a new pup, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel :)

Our springer loved the snow too, I think it is natural for this breed.

What a beautiful dog. I have a 3 year old English Springer Spaniel and just moved from Florida to Nevada. The dog has never been in the snow and I don't know if she'll be ok.

I see your dog loves it. Do you know I the dog can switch weather like that?

If she liked the outdoors before, she ought to be fine. Most dogs I've known have been confused by snow at first, but grow to love it quickly. And springers especially are bred to love the outdoors, since they're a hunting breed.

@damnyoustamos Yes, it was exactly like that, we took her to me mountain and she was confused at first, but in a few minutes she was loving it.
