Naka, can you please help me? I beat Bunny Must Die and I didn't unlock Chelsea and the 7 Devils, it showed no ending, all it did was show a little bit of the ending and then cut off to the credits. Do I have to get a certain amount of items? Please help me!!!!!!!
@jcmario643 If you have the Japanese translation, it's hard to tell if you even get the Golden Dust with the Time Power "Alternative", which you need to get Chelsea's thing. You probably didn't get that Power.
@fedexboxes19 'Cause it is, thought there is some English translation out there. Go to DrGodPant's(Naka's alternative) LP without Gears, Speed Sandals(Red shoes after Devil 1), or Spring Boots(Let you wall jump).
@MarcyAMcOtt Yeah, pretty much every full-screen program will do that. No way around it. It has to adjust the resolution of that monitor to the game. The game does have a windowed mode, though...
Yea i know that most games have that problem, but just look at "an untitled story".

You can use every resolution you want and either play it in a 300x400 window,
OR make it stretch to your desktops resolution.
I know quite a bit about programming and that its NOT very hard to "translate" resolutions to fit higher ones, its just like... draw every pixel 5 times and you have 5 times the resolution :P
@MarcyAMcOtt Uh. Low resolution fullscreen was never a problem on any of my monitors. I use three damn monitors. I've used pretty much every damn Windows OS from 2000 to 7 (Skipping Vista and ME). And in the time, forcibly lowered screen resolutions due to fullscreen was never a problem to me because it would always revert back once I closed the game.
Either you're a retard or you think that every game should run at your high resolution standards (Which classifies you as the first choice still)

You can sequencebreak past the first boss, and if you do that, beat the rest of the bosses and then go back to fight her, she gets a LOT harder. Just wanted to let you know.
Just a heads up, but I bet that green girl boss in under half the time it took you. The reason being that I used the sword, and I found out you can attack n destroy enemy attacks, so if you keep jumpinng up to her and attacking with the sword, she dies pretty fast. Not bragging just letting you know of an easier n faster way to kill her :P
I just found out about this game by randomly encountering it's interesting music while searching Touhou music, and I recognised the the developer right away because it's the same maker (art and music) of the Gundemonium games I have downloaded on the Playstation Network.

well, technicaly, you -can- make that jump at the top of the tower before the first devil by using the backdash-jump combo. it's a required part of gettign the first boss achievement, "16: [BMD] Beat 1st devil El Bobomboi's really pissed mode.", lol.

Hmm, I didn't see you mention this so I guess I'll say it.
If you press the forward button at the exact right moment, you can "Parry" attacks. Kind of like in Street Fighter 3. I somehow accidentally stumbled upon this and found it useful in getting out of situations that keep me cornered.
Also, you can do this in the air, but it's slightly harder because you have to account for your falling time as well.
@kennyblah I don't think I mention it here, since at this point I had done it a few times, but still wasn't sure HOW I did it. I've since gotten quite good at it, but again, I don't think I mention it here.
what sucks is that it looks like you can get stuck at the very beginning of the game...if you go too far to the left, and not pick up that powerup...you're stuck...

The reason why you can't turn right is that its simply a Parody on Metroid.
On the beginning of Metroid you gotta move left to get your first Upgrade. You need it to advance in the game. They make fun of that pricipe in Bunny must Die. ANd its kinda funny...

I didn't know about the time power. Although I didn't play it long since not being able to read the story for the game seemed a little bit of lacking on fun for me. I got to this boss, beat it kinda easily then...stopped, because I had gotten confused.
dash, then kick, then you can steer a little by pressing up and down, so left-left(hold)-attack(hold)-up. You probably don't need to have three buttons pressed in the end, but that's how I've done it.
Wait, hard? What in the world is hard about the first boss? You can just sit in the corner firing diagonally, then jump when she does her flying kick at you or her rapid-fire fireball attack. I beat her on my first try.
It's hard for some people. It's obviously not hard for you. This game also has a very steep learning curve. When I started I died some 20 times to the first boss. Nowadays, I've beaten the entire game gearless, dashbootless, and walljumpbootless, only dying some 40 times. And most of those are due to particular FU moments of doing an itemless run.
Very steep learning curve? The movement mechanics are exactly the same as Kirby and Mega-man. The combat is the same as metroid. You have tons of health and get full hp restores every other room. Really, what's hard about it?
Not to mention the fact that save points every other room mean you never lose any more than a minute of progress from dying. Honestly, I have much more trouble playing the original Super Mario Bros than I do this.
Well, I'm trying to be nice, but you certainly seem upset about this. I'll say again, different people react differently. You seem not to have had any problem with it. Good for you. I merely say from my own experience and the experience of the good few people I've shared the game with that it's rather difficult. Again, I had a great deal of trouble at the start, but the more you play the better you get. I can plow through without dying at all any more.

If you think the first boss is hard, you don't want to fight her pissed off mode. Which you can get from fighting another boss before fighting her. Though it's one of the achievement you can get in the game.
not really. If you jump straight up you can move backwards, there's also a backstep I don't think I use in this run. I've actually beaten the entire game without the gears.
On the first boss just shoot diagonally and don't move. If she went down get behind her and stop time then fire multiple Throwing Knives (Personally, I think it was Throwing Swords) till time resume. Another one tech is that you use the Psycho Hammer (Ball and Chain) and wait for her to come down then throw it while stopping time and resume time after the Psycho hammer is on the Boss' Back. She'll receive massive damage or Die. Also if you had the hammer inside the boss it will be Instant Kill!
i know this is rather late but after watching this lp the first time, i did a little searching and found an english patch. just thought i'd put that out there.
Did some extra research on BMD, and it turns out you can skip the first boss! However, whenever you DO fight her, she goes hyper. Like almost impossibly hard. I also believe she has different text. Try it as a bonus?
In the second room, stand on the topmost left platform (5:41). When the cannon shoots (Don't kill it!), jump into the shot and Guard-jump into the next room. Facing left is easier, full-jumping and tapping left into the wall. Eventually you'll get a Guard out of that.
Not to brag or anything, but I just played this a few minutes ago and I didn't know how to time stop, I beat the boss on my first try. It may be partially because I've been playing I Wanna Be
The issue isn't the game. You have to set your computer to use Japanese as its non-unicode language. This can be done in the Control Panel, or with a program called Applocale.

Hmm, you appear to have more options in the main menu than me. Is it because you beat the game, or do later version have that?
Also, that jump you "couldn't make yet" is possible when I play, I can dash by pressing down and jump.
And that hard boss is so much more aggressive, oh my god.

Not to mention the fact that save points every other room mean you never lose any more than a minute of progress from dying. Honestly, I have much more trouble playing the original Super Mario Bros than I do this.

Well, I'm trying to be nice, but you certainly seem upset about this. I'll say again, different people react differently. You seem not to have had any problem with it. Good for you. I merely say from my own experience and the experience of the good few people I've shared the game with that it's rather difficult. Again, I had a great deal of trouble at the start, but the more you play the better you get. I can plow through without dying at all any more.

Game is FAR harder than Super Mario Bros.
First time I played SMB when I was like 3-4 years old, I beat the fucking game.
BMD would have kicked my ass at that age.

If you think the first boss is hard, you don't want to fight her pissed off mode. Which you can get from fighting another boss before fighting her. Though it's one of the achievement you can get in the game.

not really. If you jump straight up you can move backwards, there's also a backstep I don't think I use in this run. I've actually beaten the entire game without the gears.

On the first boss just shoot diagonally and don't move. If she went down get behind her and stop time then fire multiple Throwing Knives (Personally, I think it was Throwing Swords) till time resume. Another one tech is that you use the Psycho Hammer (Ball and Chain) and wait for her to come down then throw it while stopping time and resume time after the Psycho hammer is on the Boss' Back. She'll receive massive damage or Die. Also if you had the hammer inside the boss it will be Instant Kill!

Did some extra research on BMD, and it turns out you can skip the first boss! However, whenever you DO fight her, she goes hyper. Like almost impossibly hard. I also believe she has different text. Try it as a bonus?
In the second room, stand on the topmost left platform (5:41). When the cannon shoots (Don't kill it!), jump into the shot and Guard-jump into the next room. Facing left is easier, full-jumping and tapping left into the wall. Eventually you'll get a Guard out of that.

Install AppLocale and run the program in Japanese with it (best option).
Or go to the control panel and choose Japanese for non-Unicode programs in the Regional Options.
If you don't know what I'm talking about, google it, it's a very simple thing.

The issue isn't the game. You have to set your computer to use Japanese as its non-unicode language. This can be done in the Control Panel, or with a program called Applocale.
