  • i havnt seen this movies in so long

  • i luv this movie and this song

  • Where can I find this movie? I searched everywhere but I couldn't download or watch it :(

  • Why YouTube? Why is there bloody adverts with sound while you're trying to listen to epic music/ videos? Talk about sell your soul...

  • Clopin is epic! I love his voice^^

  • The singing at the end gives me goosebumps

  • I seriously miss the movies that didn't bullshit children. This one proves there is cruelty in the world.. but it can be over come by work, belief, and love. Now it's all fixed with pixie dust.

  • I wonder what Frollo would have done with the baby if Quasimodo wasn't deformed. o_O

  • i just found outhey have this book in my school libra

  • Slippery Gypsies.

  • THE MUSIC IN THIS MOVIE IS HELLA EPIC

  • I FREAKIN LOVE CLOPIN I HAVE ANTIRE PPICTURES FOLDER DEDICATED TO HIS BEST MOMENTS! THUMBS UP FOR CLOPIN TROUILLEFOU!!

  • Is it the same voice actor who plays the priest and the bad guy in pocahontas?

  • @LaL3p0p it sure sounds like it...

  • This movie was way too deep for my young self to grasp, but this has always been one of my all time favorite Disney movies! When I watch it now I love it just as much as I did when I was little.

  • that last part of the song just kills me!!!!!!

  • I lvoe this song, and almost all of the old disney songs. unlike disney channel, this is quality music.

  • When I was younger, when I saw Frollo about to kill Quasimodo, I always thought the singers were saying:

'Someone save the little baby, SAVE HIM, SAVE HIM, SAVE HIM, SAVE HIM!!!'

Now I see that's not the case...

All in all, best intro to a movie ever. CLOPIN'S HIGH NOTE IS EPIC!!

  • damn it may be disney but you gotta admit this is true good quality music.

  • Gypsies are terrible...what I say?

  • i always cry when the mother yells sanctuary then nothing at all

  • I love this movie! Then I read the book and cried my eyes out.

  • I like clopin.... He is funny but who agrees with me that he sounds like a 12 year old?

  • I'll admit it... I AM A CLOPIN FANGIRL!!! Who's with me?

  • @missdeathknight13579 I am too xD

  • @missdeathknight13579 Say it loud and proud! :D

  • u need sum set o lungs on ya :L

  • Any guy who can hit a note like that is absolutely amazing. I love it!

  • @lizabth247 I know! idrk what it is but I think its an Eb above middle c, either way he has so much more talent than so many singers today, with range and power like that. its amazing!

  • This intro is one of Disney's absolute best. Right up there with Tarzan (Just too cool) Beauty and the Beast (for color/design/picture alone) and The Lion King (talk about epic - bowing to the future king!). These things really pull you in before the movie even starts.

  • And this, my children, is how you start a movie. ♥

Clopin, even if you aren't real, marry me? :)

  • the last note that Clopin sings gives me goosebumps every time!

  • But you never can run from nor hide what you've done from the eyes

That makes me want to write.

  • I don't know why but Latin choirs are beautiful and frightening at the same time to me. Am I the only one who feels that way?

  • He gave the monster a cruel name, a name that means "half formed"; JUSTIN BIEBER.

  • @piperrox13 thats too funny.

  • my 7 year old 2nd cousin asked me and said "why don't they make movies like this anymore?"

  • When I was a child, I was completely afraid of Frollo. I don't know, I think it's because his badness is real, and that shocks me sometimes. He is the monster, not Quasimodo.

  • got the chills.

  • Most likly one of the most powerful songs ever made by disney ( along with the other songs in this movie)

  • The line where Clopin sings the bells, bells, bells, bells, bells...etc. always reminds me of the poem The Bells bye Edger Allen Poe

  • @Makiea9111inulover That is my favorite part of the song!

  • Comment removed

  • I loved Clopin so much as a kid and i do now! I actually had a dream of marrying him... ( I think i still do when I listen to this :3 )

  • This is fucking epic. Clopin is a boss.

  • @ivorymoon9 Hell yes he is. And an attractive one at that.

  • @ivorymoon9 I know he RULES!!!!

  • Yeah...they don't make it like this anymore.

  • I especially love the last minute or so. Its SOOO beautiful.

  • Isn't the father, the one that says abotu he eyes..I knwo that voice..wasn't he in another Disney movie?

  • @MissxSpockette Pocahontas, he's governor radcliffe

  • @musiciangirl591 Thank you That was driving me nuts lol

  • @musiciangirl591

woah and he's so likable in this movie!

  • @MissxSpockette

To be more specific, David Odgen Stiers. He was also the narrator and Cogsworth in Beauty and the Beast.

  • @Subrick Wow, never knew he was Cogsworth too...Thanks for the info =D

  • To purge the world of vice and sin he would have to get rid of himself first

  • i remember this movie kinda creeped me out as a kid so i didn't watch it a lot lol but now that i'm older i appreciate it more and understand the deeper meaning behind the story :)

  • @miss09lauren The irony, the deeper meanings, I swear, cartoons are wasted on the young.

  • @gothicchik52 Then again, when "the young" as you call us watch again later in life we get it. Kids aren't all brainless idiots you know.

  • @SolitaireMasta Yes, you are right. It is true we don't really understand it when we are young, yet now I see it. But as I watched it so many times when I was little, it gave me this feeling and full respect towards stories like this, and the background of admiring the story and atmosphere of the old cathedrals...I couldn't explain why all fo this is so inspiring to me, but now I know why. I thank it to watching this movie as a very young child. :)

  • The beginning of this song brings tears to my eyes....so beautiful...

  • Frollo reminds me of alan Rickman :S

And Clopin's voice is quite....... nice ;)

  • @lemongirlohyeah TOTALLY. Alan Rickman would play a perfect Frollo.

  • @Lilydarkness lol yea if they ever do a human version they need him to play frollo

  • @lemongirlohyeah Yeah, me too!

  • @ tabs wabs watching dis makes it sound EPIC and love how Frollo casually talks about trying to kill Quasimoto and his mom

  • NO DISLIKES

  • Am I going crazy or when Frollo says "Just so he's kept locked away where no one else can see" it sounds like part of "Out There"?

  • @PercyJacksonFan613 It does, actually, they use a lot of the little song riffs throughout, like using the Hellfire choir at the beginning.

  • THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THIS WHY I SUBBED

  • im here for the end of this song...and the part about the eyes of notre dame... of course...

  • this is one of my favorite songs from the hunchback of notre dame, that and hellfire

  • i miss old disney if any1 else does reply plz

  • Me, behave? Seriously? As a child I saw Tarzan almost naked, Cinderella arrived home after midnight, Pinocchio told lies, Aladdin was a thief, Batman drove over 200 miles an hour, Snow White lived in a house with 7 men, Popeye smoked a pipe and had tattoos, Pac Man ran around to digital music while eating pills that enhanced his performance, and Shaggy and Scooby were mystery solving hippies that always had the munchies. The fault is not mine! If you had this childhood and loved it repost

  • this was suuuuch a good song omg this movie was really underrated

  • ...wow...

  • I Have Nothing To Say To This Song. . . -claps- so i shall just clap and smile :D

  • Me, behave? Seriously? • I remember lookingf at Frollo's horse and wanting one like it :) There is a Friesian Stallion named Frederick the Great that looks like Frollo's horse LOL

  • @CutterGrl05 I find it funnny that Frollo's horse is named Snowball.

  • This soundtrack, this movie, the book was a work of genius. Period.

  • That is the most beautiful note I've ever heard a man hit. It makes me love this movie all the more!

  • who's Kyrie Eleison??

  • @disneydreamerdancer Its the Latin words for "Lord have mercy."

  • @ZoraCatone It's greek actually ^^'

  • Comment removed

  • @flitzthesoulreaper Right....gee...you think from singing three years in a choir I would lnow that....(facepalms)...thanks...

  • @ZoraCatone No worries c:

  • @flitzthesoulreaper Isn't it Latin, since they say 'Kyrie Elesion' which I defiently know means 'God have mercy' in Latin.

  • @SOXURROXOFF It means exactly the same in greek. I'm greek myself so I couldn't be more sure about what I'm saying. I just checked it on wikipedia just to be sure and I'm honestly sorry but it seems I'm right :/

  • @flitzthesoulreaper kyrie elison is just greek, in the latin mass its the only thing thats not latin

  • @SOXURROXOFF its actually greek, not latin :P

  • Um, if this ever make Broadway...I totally nominate Adam Lambert for the part of Clopin.

  • @lizabth247 i totally agree, i can imagine him on broadway singing topsy turvy & the bells of notre dame. :)

  • This gives me chills!!

  • Who is the monster? Frollo

    Who is the man? Quasimodo

  • @TheBabyBangz NOOO REALLY?!?!?

  • @nights1212

Yes really!!!! You didn't know? I'm so glad I informed you then :D

  • @TheBabyBangz You figure out that by yourself?

  • @tricksterhuaun

Yeah. Lol. Keep up with the sarcasm but it's still a top comment :D. Hate on booboo. Hate on. I encourage it :D

  • @TheBabyBangz Ooooh, you have a thumbs up comment, oh i can't compete with that.

    oooh i'm gonna cry

  • @tricksterhuaun

AWWWWW. Guess what? I don't give a fuck if what I said was so obvious. Don't like it then don't read it. On the same page as me? AWESOME!!! Goodbye :D

  • @TheBabyBangz How i will know that i don't like it if i don't read it? Doesn't make sense.

    Oh well goodbye.

  • 6:00.........um...........HOLY F*** !!!!!!!!

  • "a person that does not bear scars on his heart is a shallow soul" how can Frollo be a "good" person if he feels no guilt for what he did?

  • Who else thinks that the priest sounds like govoner radcliffe from pocahontas? Reply if u do.

  • @danifangurl2 I agree.

  • @danifangurl2 David Ogden Stiers voiced both Ratcliffe and The Archdeacon.

  • @danifangurl2 that's because it's the same person...

  • the puppet sounds like elmo x)

  • "Who is the monster, and who is the man?" Chills every time :)

  • i think it's interesting that frollo's hiding quasimodo es kind of a metaphor for his hiding his own nature.

  • of all the disney movies gone broadway, why not this one? i think this could be as big as the lion king.

  • Scary thing is stuff like this happens all the time

  • The beginning kind of reminds me of Death Note...

  • at school all the kids are always saying that when they were little kids they hated this movie, i don't understand, i've always loved this movie! always! :D

  • haha i first thought that Kyrie Eleison was the name on the person who sang.....it took a while before i thought "who's this Kyrie Eleison??!! oh wait....they sing that don't they?...." x)

  • Comment removed

  • @ChiheisenChan Kyrie Eleison means "Lord, Have mercy", or something like that.

  • @hiroshikuran44 okay thank you! n.n i was really confused by that ( by the way, i love your profile picture, naruto rules!!)

  • @ChiheisenChan its greek for Lord have mercy, then theres christe eleison which means Christ have mercy :)

  • @musiciangirl591 oh i see thank you so much =) it was really kind of you to help me understand =)

  • the line who is the monster and who is the man just gives me chills

  • i know the answer of riddle!!!

    the man= esmeralda!

    the monster = Clopin'sdoll!

    n.n

  • Hahaha I like that Frollo gets scared.

  • Who is the monster and who is the man?

    I think we know...

  • Classic Disney! So much of my childhood in this... <3

  • I love this song the most from all Disney music

  • this is so incredible..so sad:'(

  • I've always wanted to go to Paris and see the Notre Dame cathedral and listen to the bells. How beautiful they must be. -sigh- sadly that is unlikely. :c

  • @PercyJacksonFan613 I've been to the Notre Dame. Didn't get to hear the bells, though.

  • @PercyJacksonFan613

:D you never know, you may just end up there ^^ keep your head up, you really never know. oh and a streak of bad impulse control definetly helps :)

  • our chorale sang that at our concert last night...their opera part was scary intense. it was amazing

  • "And he saw corruption everywhere, but within." Frollo is definetly the monster while Quasimodo (I don't think I spelled that right) is the man.

  • Clopin is awesome!

  • @clsmell93 thanks i was woundering that myself

  • I just love the ending OMG! lol

  • hope i dont get an are u stupid answer but what's kyrie elesion ???

  • @BloodyVampsX4 I just googled it-it means 'Lord have mercy'

    xx

  • @BloodyVampsX4 Lord have mercy in greek

  • I hit that fucking note now where's my$ 50 lmao

  • 90's babies, this is where it's at. we got lucky, disney movies were amazing back then. :)

  • Clopin can hit notes my Choir teacher can't, and for a long period of time. God damn.

  • @AngelOfLight50 I think the person who voiced Clopin actually won some sort of award for that note at the end.

  • @superkim111 As he should.

  • The most epic Disney song hands down. Chills every time, especially when frollo and the archdeacon are talking.

  • Anyone know the singer/actor who does the bulk of the song? I love his voice. =D

  • @OldWivesTaleatDA I believe Paul Kandel did the singing voice for Clopin.

  • Me: Belles of Notre Daaaa-*Cough gasp wheeze, still tries to sing it. Coughs and wheezes.* I just love that song! I will pay 50$ to anyone who can hold that last note.

  • could you please possibly post the karaoke version of this maybe? OwO/

  • This is perhaps the darkest Disney Movie.

  • @LevitasDCuban isn't that The Black Cauldron?

  • Esmerelda is and always will be my IDOL!!

  • This song gives me chills.

  • @HaloxReachxGirl Why does it do that?! LOL Everything is just perfect. The music, the vocalists, the rise to the climax, this song is amazing.

  • 5:39-6:21. The best part. Simply Epic.

  • I hit da last note

  • after warming up I can too!!! :D

  • tony jay sounds like a more awesome version of alan rickman:)

  • this and hell fire the two songs hat keep this movie in my heart.

  • I just love how this song starts out with a calm, quiet psalm at the beginning then BOOM! We hear a choir of people singing to instruments that are as loud as the thunder! Ha-ha.

  • i love this song ive listened to it like 50 times now

  • The guy who says : "You there, what are you hiding?" sounds like one of the soldiers from Aladdin (:

  • I miss old disney when the musical movies were decent - -, not all these Hannah Montana, wanna-be singers from Disney Channel <-- does not have the right to even have disney in the title - -

  • i love these but i wish i didnt bc it reminds me of my grandfathers death when i was only 2 = (

  • this song is amazing !!!

    i love it
