Another important factor is that this is a Coalition government- that means two groups of people working together. It is not an amalgamation of the two parties. The Liberal Democrats are still the Liberal Democrats. If anyone critical of this is not convinced by my arguments, at least consider looking at the following Facebook group; 'We got RATM to number one, we can at least get the Lib Dems into office' There are views and videos on that group which sum up the situation better than I can.

who else has been sent endless lib dem leaflets and letters through the letterbox? i've received 23 in the past week and a half. and they're all leaflets i've already been sent 4 or 5 times before.
i contacted the lib dems last week to ask them if there was a postal mistake and to ask them to stop sending me stuff. they said there was no mistake but that they would stop. since then there's been another 5 glossy one-sided leaflets and 4 letters. it's outrageous, they claim to be concerned with environmental issues and nature yet they're using paper indiscriminately for their own political gains.
One thing I've noticed with the Lib Dems is that they are the ONLY party that do not slate all of the other parties in order to get the vote... they focus on what needs to be done rather than obsessing about what the other parties cannot do and the other parties downfalls.

I am sad... I never thought the Liberal Democrats would support such a policy. "The poorer students will pay less than now", even if that was true, which it will not be, the policy is still very unfair. The middle class will be badly hit by such a policy £27,000 is a terrible start in life, especially when you think that that doesn't count the living expenses. And yes maybe if you study finance or economics at LSE you will be able to pay, but if you study arts or humanities well good luck!

Another important factor is that this is a Coalition government- that means two groups of people working together. It is not an amalgamation of the two parties. The Liberal Democrats are still the Liberal Democrats. i contacted the lib dems last week to ask them if there was a postal mistake and to ask them to stop sending me stuff. they said there was no mistake but that they would stop. since then there's been another 5 glossy one-sided leaflets and 4 letters. it's outrageous, they claim to be concerned with environmental issues and nature yet they're using paper indiscriminately for their own political gains.

The unemployed and particular welfare claimants are the only minority group I can think of, where there are no legal safeguards to prevent discrimination against. If the Lib Dems want to truly be the party of fairness, it is vital that claimants concerns start to be heard. Forcing people to do unpaid work, negative sweeping generalisations and sanctioned bullying are all prominent under New Labour and will be even more extreme under the Tories.

I'm all for a third choice in uk politics; the libdems are just not it. Basically, they are a left of centre, liberal, public spending addicted, pro EU party. If they were really listening they'd know how sick to the high teeth we were of all that nonsense.

I can't understand it when people insist we'd be better off out of the EU. 3 million jobs in the UK depend on trade with the EU. We leave the EU and that's 3 million people unemplyed. The economy will become much worse than it is now. UKIP have no idea.

Improve our Education. Crack down radically on our crimewave( Drug and crime cartels) as well as bolstering our health service. I see your point but if you look at the Lib stance on education it is to improve it. Going green is also important and if they will improve it then why not. We do need a Healthy economy but we can get this by trade. The government needs to give grants and get reliable people in charge or starting companies thats the best way in my view.

What Britain wants and what Britain NEEDS are two different things... We need to forget this myth that Britain is a great nation which can survive on its own because it no longer can. We need Europe but most Britons don't want it. They prefer to heed the 'wisdom' of the media instead of facing upto the reality that Britain is a second rate state which relies on America rather than whats on its own doorstep. Wake up: Britain is not going to return to the 'glory days' anytime soon.

You pointed out that 1 in 3 children still live in poverty. How about donating your last 4 years expenses to a Central Fund set up by the Lib-Dems to give Real help to these children and also encouraging the rest of your M.P.'s to do the same?
This will set a real precedent in British politics and people will believe you if you keep a Promise.

We have 2 trillion in debt, the NHS is in danger of being gradually privatised, university is now for the rich feeding segregation and cyclical economics, we have 5% renewables despite having the potential to power ourselves sustainably 4 or 5 times over, our public transport is expensive and not comprehensive.
We can do MUCH better than Labour and the Tories.

What I would like from a Libdem gov is a guarantee that they will break down any control over our borders because I want more immigration. I don't care where they come from, Europe, Africa, Asia, America, it doesn't matter, I just want more! I want all of our green belt land built upon, and every tree and natural area destroyed! Not only that, I absolutely love congestion on the roads, I can't get enough of it, so the more immigration the better! Thanks!
