  • Met Dee Dee in an apartment elevator here in Hollywood, weeks before he passed on. Looked in bad shape with his dealer there..RIP Dee Dee,Johnny,Joey...fuck...they all went way too early.

  • i fucking, love this band

  • So good to see a video on YouTube without any dislikes!! Just shows how awesome the Ramones were..

  • Man, The Ramones first three albums are awesome.

  • The Ramones hated each other, it's almost legendary. I think it's sad to change the world and not being able to hug each other.

  • R.A.M.O.N.E.S !!

  • There are few bands that transcend generations. You can count them on one hand. The ramones are one of them. I know they never made it big when they were in their prime and it sucks, but they should be proud of their legacy. The Ramones never get old and listening to them never gets old either.

  • Dee Dee is FUCKING FUNNY

  • Saw them with Richie at that Austin Opry House in 85. Great! Only show better was seeing the True Believers at the Beach at the same time.

  • saw the Ramones 4 times between 79 and 90 they were always fantastic.

  • WHAT YEAR WAS THIS DOCUMENTARY IN????

  • @DosXsConTecate 2003

  • Take it dee dee...1-2-3-4!!!!!!!!!

  • love it......... 7:52 DeeDee is just soooooooo shot away, but so enthusiastic!!!

  • lol johnny doesnt look at day over 30

  • I love that at the RnR HoF induction DeeDee was the only one not wearing the leather jacket. "This is what you were expecting? Then this is what I WILL NOT do under any circumstances." Crazy, man... crazy.

  • @pjjolly Thats the DEFFINITION of punk.

If everybody are pro-something,Im against it too.

  • now I want to sniff some glue!!!!!.....

  • I would give everything i have to go back in time and see them live once

  • man this is a documentary. fucking great thank you for posting.

  • Note: If you watch other things such as 'Ramones: Raw', you'll see the band goofing off and getting along with each other while fighting sometimes... (after all, brothers always fight)

This documentary is fantastic but it sort of gives you the impression that they were constantly at each others throats and really divided...

  • 9:05

"... he would hear voices that forced him to repeat things..."

maybe that's why the Judy is a Punk lyrics go "Second verse same as the first"?

  • I did not see one Black or Hispanic in that fucking year book!!!!

  • DeeDee's laugh<3

  • @AsurorusA yes

  • anyone noticed Marky's little 'lets go' hand signal at 1:19 lol

  • @ 1:16 is that eddie vedder?

  • i love how everyone at the rock and roll hall of fame induction are wearing suits and johnny just rocks up in his leather jacket, tshirt and jeans haha

  • Zero dislikes! That's right! :-)

Because the Ramones are unquestionable pure awesomeness!

  • Johnnys accent is brilliant x]

  • Does anyone know what kind of sunglasses Dee Dee was wearing?

  • so cool, yet so sad. they were true r&r legends! they toured their asses off until they were almost 50 and then died legends! they never got to be 60 or 70 like mc cartney, clapton etc, still playing looking my grand-fucking parents!

  • Since it was released in 2003, when was it recorded, as Dee Dee died in 2002

  • i love this. i want more.

  • does anybody know, what the name of the song is at 6:28?

    PLEASE ANYONE!

  • I rem the day I heard that Johnny died. Unbelievable.

Back in the day, a bud had Rocket to Russia on cassette. (if you are not impressed, you are way too young) ;)

  • @rjpancerniCAUSA Casette? Weak man, go vinyl or go home

  • @TOSportsFan1990 I had the vinyl.

  • @TOSportsFan1990: Vinyl is the best, but cassette is not bad at all. Matter of fact, I prefer cassette to cd.

  • the ramones and blondie are fucking epic!!!!!!!!!!

of course the british bands are better

  • @SnuffFawksXVIII thats all in opinion

  • @ADTNMusic No.. That Is All True..

  • @TheBeatlesAreBabes You can't say anything thats not your opinon like if you say The Clash is better then The Ramones that be your opinon so its true to you maybe but not to me

  • @demigrl21

marky joined later on in the 80's

  • @weves87 nvm i found out :)

  • @demigrl21

first drummer, was mostly producer and manager for them, think he wrote some songs too. The documentary explains most of it

  • @shiningwizard11548 .you knobhead, the genre is called garage for that specific reason.

  • @shiningwizard11548 what a daft comment, shows how much you know. the ramones were influenced by garage bands from the 60s.

  • haha dee dee's so cool

  • 0:42 kirk hamett

  • 3:08 Johnny lookd like he's trying to be a Beatle like I try and be a female version of Johnny.

  • Song at 2:17???

  • @RichieRottentooth

    Rubinettes- Sugar baby love...

  • @RichieRottentooth Sounds like the Beatles' version of "Twist AndShout".

  • @shiningwizard11548

no dude garage bands started in the 60s

  • Dee Dee tells the best stories. He always makes me laugh.

  • we love dee dee!

  • dee dee loves selling his body for glue and heroin.

  • To me Joey Ramone is The Greatest Rock n Roll hero. He grows up not in the in crowd and not really attractive and his family is worried about what is going to become of him. He winds up fronting the greatest punk band in history and the greatest band all around to come out of New York City.

  • @MBOYA22 And he suffered from EXTREME schizophrenia

  • 4.57, count five! i love that song!!!

  • its weird how they hung out where i live :] forest hills new york

  • wonder if they ever hung out in the grave yeard, theres a huge hill in there over looking queens, me and my cousins would get ripped up there, cant forget the falling tree over the pit, good times \m/

  • THE RAMONES have a big impact on my taste in music, Dee dee's style is wut influenced me to play bass

  • Thanks for posting!!! R.I.P Joey, Dee, Johnny!

  • I know that i will get cussed out for this but I am starting to belive The Ramones are the greatest American band.

  • i second that motion

  • I hear people saying that thier sound was different I think it's just kick ass Rock n Roll

  • 6:35 what is this for a song?

    :)

  • joey was a poet!

  • I love you Joey Ramone Forever and ever.

  • who inducted the ramones into the hall of fame?

  • I Think The Guy Looks Like Travis Barker, Im Not Sure Though

  • alright thanks

  • eddie vedder

  • really? haha never saw him with a mohawk before

  • he did it soully as a dedication to what the ramones started

    punk!

  • This is a fantastic docu. It's- im embarrassed to say introduced me to The Ramones, I never realized these guys were so important and influential music wise. What a band!!

  • I grew up near Forest Hills, and the hospital where I was born is adjacent to the Birchwood Towers, Joey's childhood home. Coincidentally the Rubettes' "Sugar Baby Love" is one of my all-time fave pop songs. Naturally, I almost started bawling like a baby during these Forest Hills scenes when I saw the premier of this doc at the Toronto Film Fest!!! I guess "Showaddy, bop showaddy" ain't that far removed from "gabba gabba we accept you one of us"...

  • dude your soo fucking awesome for putting this on i have been waiting months for someone to do what you did. your a youtube hero

  • FUCK YEA.... i havent seen this in 5 years. I lent it to someone and they disappeared off the face of the earth.. its all ok now.
