  • Brett and Bernie = lovely, amazing!!

  • I think they never realised how big they were, and now, that they do, it's too late. Great times...

  • ...the needle, a much better screw.........

  • @acidsuga i know the man with the guitar

  • @unapresmididelibre bernard butler is awesome, i saw suede back in 1993-94 at the fillmore in sf ;D

  • Incredible.

  • only Suede 'd play a B side on TV,,,amazing

  • What really strikes me about a vid like this from the early/mid 1990s is how nothing about it has aged.

  • This makes me wish again that YouTube had a damn "repeat" function for playing single vids...

  • actually, there is a very nice version from this year

    see:

    video.zeit.de/video/696471543001

and Brett plays guitar to accompany himself

  • I remember watching this at the time, on the Ray Cokes show (most wanted).

And It's still a great tune.

  • @1967justpretend I watched this too!!! :) and I heard it live lastnight. :)

  • I saw Brett playing this one just one day ago in Berlin. Still great. I fell back in Love with them.....

  • @deliriousweare Brett CAN'T play this. There really is no question about it, he's a dodgy guitarist.

  • the stay together ep was suede at their best, 3 classic tracks that have all made their new 2xCD best of lp

  • Just beautiful...One of my Suede faves...

  • What a musical moment — still today as heartfelt and beautiful as it was underappreciated. Thank you, Suede, for one of the last real examples of style and originality we've seen this decade. Sincere gratitude from NYC and the rest of the world. We miss what it meant to hear real music for the first time since The Smiths.

  • @thesmiths1 well put! Hamilton Ontario Loves Suede!

  • one of those songs thatsend shivers down your spine

  • Acoustic versions always show all beauty of the song

  • beautiful and sad ..

  • 'Could have had it all.....could have walked in the sky ..but i stare at the wall'. Hauntingly beautiful.

  • Fantastic band. Way to good, and ahead of their time to make it in the 80's/90's.

  • This is very nice. I have a very old bootleg of another acoustic version of The Living Dead (poorly recorded at that) in which Bernard plays the piano while Bernard sings. Not sure if visuals were ever made for it.

  • This song just kills me. It perfectly sums up how it feels to watch your significant other spiral into drug addiction.

  • Perfect. Right at the peak of their powers this.

  • Butler's playing is the best. Great style!

Thanks for sharing this. Two great songs on that EP: Dark Star and Living Dead. Love them both.

  • HI-FI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • sheer perfection!
