  • wonder what sucker bought those... glad it wasnt me :)

i wouldnt pay more than $5

  • @defenderoFreedom

dude i would easily pay more then 5$ cool key chain + they are made out of titanium

  • Also, as far as Russian nukes I'd be very surprised if half of them launched since many of their silos have poor environmental systems. Extreme temps and temp changes= unreliable solid rocket use.

  • Some of this is wrong. There are 4 launch keys per capsule crew member, two members each capsule. I have to question, however, how legal owning these are. Also, the bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki pale in comparison to what is possible or even to the largest test bombs used. Though our arsenal isn't as potent as what past tests have yielded, we do have the capability of producing massive yield.

  • Hi,

It was season 2 Episode 38 - Big Guns. Hope that helps.

  • What season and episode is this? Thanks

  • The US didnt keep any of the Atlas complex launch keys they gave them away to the crews the launch consoles were gutted and left.

  • Hi,

Actually, Mark the expert did our radio interview - AFTER the Pawn Stars show and admitted he got it wrong. In fact I talked to him last week and he says that after all this time his museum is exploding with tourists and fans and that is the number one thing folks ask about and he tells them, "Yes, I got it wrong, the were actually ICBM launch keys." He told me the reason he got it wrong was there is lots of information out on the internet about rocket keys none on ICBM Launch Keys.

  • I always imagined a much more complex key for such a thing. I guess though that there was so much armed security and secrecy about the location of the missile that it didn't matter anyways.

  • I bet Rick from pawn stars was kicking himself in the ass when he found out they really were ICBM keys.

  • What ever happened to the keys to launch OURS??? After being in a Launch Control Facility in ND, I'd love to have some!!!

  • Scott is my dad the pomeroy u probably hear screaming cuz me and my bro were fighting :) im not j king

  • those are replica keys!! I saw them on ebay!!!

  • the keys t the end of the world. awesome, i wouldnt put them in my hands if i where you, muhahahahaahahaha!

  • Check my channel for pawn stars.

  • @PawnStarsOnline Thanks, great site, love the show and especially love getting things related to the show.

  • Wanna know what the real value of these is? ITS OVER 9000!!!!!!!

  • why would anybody pay $6k for these keys. they are really quite useless without the bomb.

  • @rdc1622 Because they are a piece of history. People pay allot of money for historical items. I guess they would pay it because they can afford to. It's kind of like a Rolex, I would never pay over 150 dollars for a watch let alone ten grand and over but there are people out there that will.

  • 5000oo

  • Put them in a sock and hit somebody in the head...there still dangerouse.

  • idk why the phux the gov. would allow someone to hold something that could be the genocide of America or anywhere else....its got to be just space shuttles and, even if you did own them you would have to put them in the ignition which is probably UP TO THE ASS in security and in a foreign country...its still cool to think about it though

  • because they no longer work....They dismantled the bombs. Duh.

  • @mccthug your commenting on a 6 month old comment?

    smh....

  • @NERD585 you are too? smh....

  • @mccthug im responding to YOUR comment that you JUST posted....

  • I think I've seen one of those in my kitchen drawer

  • no joke, me too!

  • What is the point in buying these keys without the lock to use them on? LOL... stupid auction... Do I have to now go to Russia and buy the launcher too? hahahaha

  • there space shuttles woopie who cares,if it was a key to open a stair way to hell then I would be the first in line .

  • they are really attractive

would make a great art peice

  • i must to get these keys

  • They're not nuclear missiles.

    they're for space shuttles

  • @Shikamaru0Boo Hi, did you hear the expert from Pawn Stars admit he got it wrong and that they are ICBM launch keys?

  • @gettingsoldonebay He never said that.

  • Comment removed

  • @gettingsoldonebay

Just watched the episode. They first thought it was ICBM keys but after their expert examining it. They found, in fact, that it was actually shuttle keys.

  • @Shikamaru0Boo Dude...your an idiot...

  • @sarge958 NO really! Watch Pawn Stars!

  • @Shikamaru0Boo Dude REALLY?Pay attention. They are really are ICBM launch keys. The guy apologised himself.Read before you comment.

  • @Shikamaru0Boo the keys are used for the same thing, they were made from titanium, the space shuttle ones were equally the same as the ICBM launch keys................still it gives you chills down your spine thinking 2 small keys could end the world

  • @Shikamaru0Boo yup, I saw that episode on pawn stars too. prob worth more being a shuttle set

  • Just remember the Russians still hold the keys to the end of the world as well as the US and it'ts allies and some of it's enemies

  • I hope Obama does not get ahold of these!

  • i think he already has his own private set - LOL!

  • He does, I sold them to him.

  • I wouldn't imagine there are many more of these laying around.

  • cool man you shoud do good on theese who wouldn't want to own the key's to the end of the world that would be awesome dude.

  • I think I saw this on the History channel or something? Very interesting.

  • I say these go for more than 10K

  • Just 2 cool! What a story and how do you put a price on something like this? I hope a museum picks them up.

  • Wow, the story behind the story.

  • Very cool and it is so true that you can find just about anything on ebay

  • I want them - lol

And I they look like there is only one pattern - I hope there aren't still any in Russia that use the same keys!
