Its so sad that we have to lower ourselves and express the for and againsts of these well respected groups, at the end of the day when you want to join a group its the group, the instructors and the dances that the group teaches you're only interested in....not anything else.. who travels where, how many trophies this group holds...WHO REALLY CARES...but those who have nothing better to do but DISRESPECT each others groups c'mon where is the LOVE?

Well no one here needs to explain racism to me...you know my grandfather was Polynesian. He was my mothers father. His family was angry that he went to California and fell in love with an Arab girl. My mother grew up without a father because of this racism. My father is also part Islander and part Egyptian...yet I never learned anything about Islanders because these sides of my family dont like us because we are not "pure Islanders" so whatever. America needs to grow up. this includes islanders.

I am a nonosina dancer and i LOVE tupulaga!! its not about whos better its about the MANA each of us have inside real DANCERS know that! its a shame how we hate on each other lets spread the ALOHA and our culture!! and MOVE foward!! love my nonosina FAM!! and i got nothin but love for the tupulaga peeps as well! you know what nonosina winning alot of stuff and all.....so whats up with ya christmas recital?the one in 07 ya had it at some cheap looking place or something and last year 09 it looked like ya had it at a small middle school auditorium....lol...one of ya dancers told me that nonosina is having some money problems....lol....he told me that nonosina was suppose to go places like hawaii and compete but do to money problem they aren't..lol..

i've seen videos of tupulaga performing with fiji adeaze kontiki and manao company...you know ...real polynesian people who are big time stars but i never seen a video of nonosina performing with any of these artists.....have you?thought so...lol...ill run my mouth about nonosina all day baby.....cccchhhhheeeeee hhhhhooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!­tupulaga all the way baby...lol

yeah they both 2 different groups but showing off aint what tupulaga is about..yeah nonosina aint shy to flaunt what they've won but tupulaga has too much class to boast about winning trophies and awards...they dance for the love of their polynesian culture and they dont let awards or trophy replace the joy dancing brings to them...real mana..tupulaga has way more strength and courage then nonosina can ever achieve but they keep their mana on the inside and let their dancing do the talking

one more thing tupulaga dont need to step up ....nonosina does....they need to step up and do more than one island and know how to truely represent polynesia not just tahiti....friends of mine that dances for tupulaga told me when nonosina and tupulaga went to tahiti and performed both groups did tahiti together but tupulaga had to the rest of the islands by themselves cuz nonosina didnt know how to do any other island so tupulaga did more work than nonosina...so you tell me who needs to step up

yeah count the dancers too...lol..thats the sad part....tupulaga dont have 400 dancers and they still bring it harder than nonosina..its not the quantity its the quality..nonosina have more dancers but tupulaga has better dancers...and dont say"400 dancers each representing the polynesian culture"the only thing they're representing is the tahitian culture...so dont say representing THE POLYNESIAN CULTURE tupulaga is the only one that can say that......tupulaga fan to the fullest.....peace

nonosina is one of the best groups but there are alot of great tahitian dance groups and some are better than them like te vaka nui they hella tight but there aren't alot of great samoan dance groups that do every island like tupulaga and as a matter of fact i think they're the only one...tupulaga dont get the credit they deserve but people praise nonosina like they can do what tupulaga can when they cant yeah dancing aint a sport its life to real dancers and thats what tupulaga has......peace
