"The cost of illegals"... you said some numbers that is the money that USA loses when maintaining illegals, but i suggest you to investigate the enourmous amount of money the illegal aliens produce for your country. Its waaaaaaaaaay bigger than the money you lose; thats why your goverment is not stopping illegals.
The work that illegal aliens do are jobs that americans have never done, its the same work that black slaves, irish, asians etc have done. they're jobs americans wouldn't want to do, if you don't believe me i suggest you to read about how the mexican inmigrants work in the tobacco fields in north carolina (investigate about Baldemar Velásquez and his foundation), and ask yourself if u would want your family or friends to do that work.
why do you think your goverment is not doing anything about it? because illegal inmigration is something that's good for american economy. China and India are 2 countries that have an impressive growing economy because they use cheap workers to produce. And the USA has been doing the same over all these years but in a different way, the black slaves, the chinese building up rails, irish in manhattan; and now latinos.
