No both the GTV 3.0 V6 and Spider 3.0 V6 had originally 12v engines. The 24v engines were introduced first to the GTV then the Spider. In European markets they had a 2.0 V6 12v as well. All 12v engines did not have hydraulic tappets - you need to re-shim at the correct intervals.

No, in Italy there were:
spider: 3.0 v6 12v
gtv: 2.0 v6 turbo 12v
3.0 v6 24v
3.2 v6 24v

Wrong! They had only 24V engines. Only the 2.0 V6 TB is 12V. The last 12V was in the 164.
