For those of you that criticize these swordsmen/women without ever getting up your chair, note that yes, they are doing it very slowly, and the intervals and footing between attacks would not be ideal in a real sword fight, but we all have to start somewhere, notice that this is a class, better do it slow but right than fast and clumsy, they are still better at it than you are and they are studying, show some respect.

Plus Technically a samurai is a warrior kinda like a solder that uses a sword art as a weapon. You don't see many people fighting a war with swords now and days. So there kinda aren't any "Official samurai" anywhere. Just the style of sword fighting.
i know, but they're training accuracy not speed i think, but if your head on with one, they might be pretty fast, especially the beginning of the fight since the second they draw the sword, they're on you.

The mats haven't been soaked...there's dust flying off them.
If you don't soak the mats you can't see your mistakes and so the whole point of training is defeated.
