I got to say that this looks very interesting. And I wouldn't call it generic by looking it right now at least. I just hope that they won't try to make higher difficulties harder by making you weaker but making the enemy more aggressive and faster in their movements. Much better than taking cover every 3 bullets you get hit.

The chick though looks way too much like the baddy chick in Deus Ex: HR.

Reviving range should be shorter also.

technically it looks ok, animations, sounds... but the only thing Syndicate are the trenchcoats. The weapon design is too generic for one. There is no air of mystery about the agents either.

I don't EVER remember ANY of my agent's bitching about "RELOADING OVER HERE" or any such crap. They just got on with the job. This might be a nice FPS, Starbreeze do good work, but Syndicate it ain't.

I'd rather they never make any kind of Syndicate game ever instead of an attempt at breathing new life into a fan favorite! I mean, how dare they try to reboot a game many of you wanted sequels too! Instead of this awful FPS game, I'd rather have painfully out-of-date gameplay, instead of realizing maybe these people are trying to draw a different sort of crowd who might actually like it. It also helps that they're jobs may be on the line if it turns out to be terrible, but fuck it who cares.

Looks decent to me. But just decent. Two things that could improve this game: Reduced clutter for the HUD, it really is distracting. And a heavier emphasis on stealth, just running around guns blazing has been done to death.

On a better note, the melee kills look great! Just give the player a katana and let him/her run around a 2x speed dicing people. More exciting than killing everything from a distance.

@Chromie192 While I agree with you because this is a far cry from what the original game was, everyone knows that won't happen. The same was done with the Commandos series, it was turned into a console FPS devoid of what got people playing it in the first place. The reality is publishers have a heavy hand in what happens to an IP, frequently ignoring the wishes of hardcore fans because they don't make up the majority of the target base. What EA could do however, is just not called it Syndicate
