Tomb Raider: Legend Croft Manor Gold Reward

I think I just found a bug where you can pick up the Silver Crest in the library through the wall without activating the books. This however will negate the reading of the clue, and stops the progression to the Gold Crest.

@kevstercreepster Thanks, Kev. I find the videos quite a challenge. I tend to be slightly spazzy when I play and I'm always embarrassed to post my screw-ups, so I end up having to do a lot of takes before I get a good one. I prefer the written version cause it's easier to edit. ;)

@stellalune I remember having one of the games on ps1 with the butler, and i locked him in a kitchen. Hahaha, but ealier this year I played - Tomb Raider - Underworld. Which was good. I can't remember if i played any others, but yeah - It's awesome.

@Annzabannza My Legend Rewards page lists all the outfits and how to unlock them. The two Amanda outfits are: Amanda - Complete Ghana Time Trial and Amanda, Winter - Complete Kazakhstan Time Trial.

@stellalune if you get the grapple then go when you comw back will you still have your grapple/pistols?

@Annzabannza If possible, you should try and finish the Manor level in one go. Sometimes you can return and everything will be OK, but some players have encountered a glitches where they can't turn the statues and thus can't get this gold reward. If you are going to play it in stages, I'd suggest doing everything you need to do to get the gold in one play-through. Then if you save rewards as you exit, you should be able to come back later without difficulty.

@monkeyman1311 I'm not sure why that's happening. That may be a glitch in the game. But are you sure you don't already have the reward? If you find it (i.e., actually pick it up), it should be added to your total even if you reload another save.

How can you start Croft manor over? I don't know if that's a good sentence, but how can you do it again?

@TheFanDubFan In the PC version you press Escape then choose "Restart Croft Manor" from the menu. I'm not sure if it's the same in the PlayStation/Xbox game...maybe Start button? In any case, it's the same Pause menu where you would Skip Cinematics, Quit, etc.

@stellalune Yes, I have it for the PC, but in my menu I can only see: Return to game, Options, Save rewards, Load and Exit Croft manor.

@TheFanDubFan That's strange. I have Level Statistics, Options, Restart Croft Manor and Quit (also Skip Cinematic if there is a cinematic playing at the time you access the menu). Maybe this is related to the other bug in which you can't save in the Manor level unless you have created a new profile. Are you playing with the default profile or have you created your own? I don't know if that matters, but you might want to try it.

I love how Zip and Winston are just sitting there acting like nothing is happening as Lara is running all over the place and random statues are raising up from the living room.

It's like they're used to it... like she does the same type of thing everyday. LOL. It's funny to me to watch Zip and Winston just not even react to the floor being risen up.

a really strange problem,,,,, i've collected all the rewards from all the levels gold silver and bronze but i'm still missing 4 outfits!

@DinaSan1 Have you done the time trials? AFAIK, each of those unlocks an outfit as well.

so what happens when you do the routine differently? because im playing the 360 version and the books that you push in are already pushed in so.........im stuck

@soric16 You do need to do everything in sequence, since on action triggers the next. For example, you need to actually reveal and read each plaque for the next one to work. And you can't push the books until you have first revealed and read the plaque above the swimming pool ("within the hall of knowledge...").

If something gets messed up, you can start over: Load the manor level, press Start, then select "Restart Croft Manor". Good luck and raid on!

i've done everything like you did but it says i have to find another sylver reward...what can i do? please help me..i know that the last sylver reward is in the room full of books where alister is reading but i can't push the books to get the reward.......sorry about my english..:D

The silver rewards are not connected to the books. That's part of the gold reward sequence. Sorry I don't have a video for the whole level, but my written walkthrough has screenshots showing the location of all bronze and silver rewards. Just follow the link in the video description. Good luck!

Are you sure you reached the switch in time? Sometimes it looks as though Lara is touching the switch but then it turns back into the wall before you can actually use it. If this happens, just try again starting from the other side: Use the left switch, swing across the poles as fast as you can and then use the right switch. If possible try and jump off each pole without going all the way around first, like I managed to do on the middle pole. It's difficult but faster. Good luck!
