Such a great song from such an unknown group. This song makes me nostalgic, reminds me of the greatest game ever, & reminds me of all those who suffered from the Chernobyl incident.
You know what I would love to see in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 ? The camera effects used in "Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days", but in first person. That would give the game the perfect reality effect.
That's what I though, but, the creators of K&L2, took the basic camera effects from Armed Assault 2 and they improved it 3x. You can see blood, distortion, blur, color saturation, etc. Those effects would be perfect on a dark-semi-scary game.

As I said, graphics need a certain level, wich is according to the year the game was released. So, if GSC released a STALKER 2 with Quake 2 graphics, would it be a good game? I doubt it. Some games don't need exceptional graphics - they rely on atmosphere instead. Have you played STALKER? I mean, don't you remember the first time you encountered a bloodsucker, or a pseudogiant? I literally jumped out of my chair, and it wasn't because the details were so amazing. It's the whole atmosphere of the game. In some parts, I was just as scared as when I played Amnesia, and I had an AKs-47
I read one report that S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 will be set near the impact site of the Tunguska event only that it has happened a second time and there is some 'strange' things happening
Fallout really reminded me of Stalker. Unlike most games where you can run around doing such and such, YOU control the story. Best Fun fact though most hope it never happens it's really something that could happen irl. We can't say there wont be mutated creatures and ghouls and ect appearing after a nuke meltdown /fallout.
@Shomaruki Well, the plants in the real exclusion zone have been found to have become immune to radiation. Radiation can only cause general genetic mutation - no superpowers or anything. If the radiation damages a dominant gene, it's passed on. If it's not useful, then it becomes recessive. It's unlikely that there would be huge amounts of mutation, but larger claws or enhanced senses, for example, are quite possible.
That reminded me of this one report that said that some scientist had found a new kind of fungus that well, feeds on radioactive material. Inside the reactor 4 if I remember correctly.

Stalker is the best game series i've ever played. It's just perfect! It's not an fps nor an RPG, it is reality. Just think about it. Artifacts, starving people trying to get a living, death, struggle for survival... life. If stalker dies... it's just... over, no one is ever going to replace it, and those who try will fail miserably. But there is still hope.

Don't believe the rumors on the internet. People have visited GSC and actually TALKED to them. They're not closing, and STALKER 2 isn't officially canceled, they're just having human resource issues.

Single-player will be downgraded to 2 very dark hallway fight sequences and will require an internet connection and registration program running in the background. Multiplayer will be made into a frantic deathmatch until it's no longer supported and the servers go down. The release version will not contain artifacts, you'll have to buy them with real money via DLC.

Read about GSC on RPS earlier today but I didn't really realise what it meant until now. STALKER might not have been the best game I've ever played, but it was good and GSC were a good company. I shall drink in your memory.
@Arcticalreconwolf I've got both, huge fan of both. In my opinion, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is more free-roam than Metro 2033, and better, but as I said, I'm a huge fan of both, so you will probably love it, get Shadow of Chernobyl first, then Clear Sky(buggy) and then Call of Pripyat.
@SweHuntah123 I actually recommend reading the synopsis/backstory of the Zone first (no spoilers), and then playing Clear Sky first. Why? So much happens in Shadow of Chernobyl and Clear Sky actually builds up suspense about many of the events of SoC. That's just how I feel anyway. CS isn't really buggy after patches, but is the least stable after modding.
@boredgunner Yer, but I still had some of the minor bugs after patching, such as the warning for radiation text being stuck, but a simple re-load made it go away :)
@kornholioa like combing SOC, clear sky and call of Pripyat ? into a MMO? that would be awesome :D from what I can tell in Clear sky is everything is the same except the new area in the zone, in call of pripyat your in a different part of the zone I think =\...but I'm not sure really but either way that would be awesome :D
Sweet.. The Multi-platform thing is kind of a bummer though, since they're going to dumb thing's down from what they used to be. But no matter how good it will be, it will never beat SoC.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl was definitely my favorite out of all of the stalkers and if I ever make a movie this is going to be the ending scene song. Two thumbs up.

when society collapses i am going to be spraypainting lyrics from this song on random walls. a reminder of the better times. most people won't understand it, but it will still speak to them, and those who played stalker and are not dead yet will smile warmly for a moment before moving on to look for that night's dinner.
God after playing CoP and CS for so long and not playing SoC since march and hearing this song and all the classic lines of "get out of here stalker" and "dont stand i said come in" just all the little things that makes SoC the best stalker game, I almost cried it was so beautiful and welcoming. Read about GSC on RPS earlier today but I didn't really realise what it meant until now. STALKER might not have been the best game I've ever played, but it was good and GSC were a good company. I shall drink in your memory.

@Arcticalreconwolf I've got both, huge fan of both. In my opinion, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is more free-roam than Metro 2033, and better, but as I said, I'm a huge fan of both, so you will probably love it, get Shadow of Chernobyl first, then Clear Sky(buggy) and then Call of Pripyat.

@SweHuntah123 I actually recommend reading the synopsis/backstory of the Zone first (no spoilers), and then playing Clear Sky first. Why? So much happens in Shadow of Chernobyl and Clear Sky actually builds up suspense about many of the events of SoC. That's just how I feel anyway. CS isn't really buggy after patches, but is the least stable after modding.

@boredgunner Yer, but I still had some of the minor bugs after patching, such as the warning for radiation text being stuck, but a simple re-load made it go away :)

@kornholioa like combing SOC, clear sky and call of Pripyat ? into a MMO? that would be awesome :D from what I can tell in Clear sky is everything is the same except the new area in the zone, in call of pripyat your in a different part of the zone I think =\...but I'm not sure really but either way that would be awesome :D

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl was definitely my favorite out of all of the stalkers and if I ever make a movie this is going to be the ending scene song. Two thumbs up.

when society collapses i am going to be spraypainting lyrics from this song on random walls. a reminder of the better times. most people won't understand it, but it will still speak to them, and those who played stalker and are not dead yet will smile warmly for a moment before moving on to look for that night's dinner.

God after playing CoP and CS for so long and not playing SoC since march and hearing this song and all the classic lines of "get out of here stalker" and "dont stand i said come in" just all the little things that makes SoC the best stalker game, I almost cried it was so beautiful and welcoming.
