Well it's still kinda in Shredder's character since he killed Hamato Yoshi's wife because he ran off instead of facing him, so I figured he wanted the turtles dead to hurt Splinter the same way he hurt Hamato Yoshi.
Shredder sufferd brain damage after the trash compactor fiasco and thought that the boys shut him down, as for somehow surviving that (and every "death" onwards) the guy's just too damn lucky!!!
@CloudofFate i'm afraid your wrong. the actual line is "No, I am your father". people adding "luke" to the line makes it one of the most commonly misquoted movie lines ever.
@Geekvolution Obviously, Vanilla Ice is a highly-trained expert in ninjitsu and other martial arts. It's in his autobiography, I believe. But even more amazing is the fact that a completely unrehearsed dance sequence is somehow perfectly choreographed.
(Fun Fact: Although "Ninjutsu" is the most commonly-used spelling of the term, the alternative "ninjitsu" is considered valid as well. This was such a common mistake that the spelling was simply adopted. "Jutsu" roughly translates to "art.")
@Geekvolution As a kid I believe I enjoyed this one better than the first, and I can still watch the trilogy today. Did you know that they were going to have Professor Perry revel himself to be an utrom? However, the production crew that the children would mistake him for Krang. When I was younger I saw him as Baxter Stockmen from the cartoon only smarter, but I think it would have been interesting for the movie to hint that he was an utrom and use silhouettes whenever his abdomen opens.
love your review, but why such a low rating, I know that ninja turtles 2 has some questionable scene in it but I still think it should be at least 2 or a 2.5.
Ernie Reyes Jr, who plays Keno, was the stunt fighting double turtle for Donatello in the first movie, and also was one of the stars of a popular, at least with the kids, tv show called Sidekicks in te 80's. He also had a role in that Sean William Scott/ The Rock movie Welcome to the Jungle/ Helldorad etc. He was the rebel leader who also performed martial arts while swinging on ropes and attacking the Rock. Guys a popular stunt man.
When I was a kid, I practically loved this movie. Having seen it a few years ago, it's just not as good as the first film. TMNT 2 is essentially the cartoon brought to live action, where TMNT 1990 was a mesh of the original Mirage comics, and elements of the popular toon.

Great review. By the way, one of the jokes of the comic books was that the Shredder always came back from the dead at the end of the comic.
But I agree about your review. The worst part of the film, for me tho, will always be Vanilla Ice rap.
