I saw a report on this, an actual Ukraine paper. It goes like this: The planes were French, and were actually grounded. The pilots were arrested. They were US Airforce pilots! The US demanded return of the pilots under threat. They caved and handed them over. This mess also involved Nigerian spraying as well.
