  • everyone knows that is not Gershwin playing. It is obviously a clone they created using DNA they scraped off his piano, then genetically engineered to by 1/4th the original Gershwin's size so he could hide inside the piano and play it without being seen.

  • this is a lie there was a piano that plays the keys by itself i learned about the piano in my music classes.......so yea this is a lie

  • google for piano rolls, and then tell your teacher!

  • whats the name of the song??

  • "Swanee"...by George Gershwin obviously. ;)

  • thx

  • I love how he takes off in a bravura ragtime manner a 'la Pete Wendling at 1:13, although the pretty fill-ins and hesitations with the modern chords are all Gershwin.

  • Well, those piano rolls can be pretty scary. To think that's exactly as he played it, recorded as he played it.

  • Omg, everyone knows THAT is a player piano. Umm... But is a good idea to say that is the ghost of greshwin.

  • swaneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee its the best luwit

  • You used to hear piano playing like that in certain sections of New Orleans that were virtually unchanged in style from the late 1910s up to the 1940s but after Katerina, I don't knwo what is left!

  • I KNOW!!!!!!!

  • I'm 14 and playing Rhapsody in blue... Damn HARD... but gr8!!!

  • Yes, play Rhapsody in Blue is very hard, I'm 14 too and is very very hard, yeah!

  • I knew that! just saying i can play 'so am I' as a piano roll its hard enough but not as hard as any other of the piano rolls in the book 'gershwin plays gershwin selection from the piano rolls'but hey! im only 13 years old but it was gr8 learning.

  • Hey you're right...interesting.

  • Hmmm, I see, how dumb we are all here. This is a digital self playing piano. You can see the computer under the keys at the begining of the video on the left. Plus this is a Boston-Steinway piano, there are recent. I own one.

  • for hollywood there is nothing impossible

  • Thats impossible! Where the Hell is the piano roll, and all the player parts!?

  • obviously, in the part below the keyboard of the piano. My auncle has a player piano with the piano roll is below the keyboard. lol

  • Oh that is cool! I ought to learn that one day...

  • Has anyone tried playing Artis Wodehouse's transcription of this? Gershwin's performance seems so effortless, but there is actually quite a lot going on at once, especially in the left hand!

  • I know i have tried the first part of the song the left hard in wodehouses version is HARD

  • swanee how i love ya how ilove ya that was gr8!my dear old swanee
