  • CALIFORNIA THANK U FOR NOT GIVING US TORNADOS

  • theres something really sexy about guys who chase storms =]] too bad we dont get any tornados in Arizona.

  • @brahmancheerleader1 lol, that's cool to hear. To most folks the weather is boring, but to me it's pretty amazing. Thanks for watching. And while you don't see many tornadoes at all in Arizona, you do get one hell of a monsoon season at times bringing with them amazing lightning displays :)

  • whats with the creapy sounds

  • @devster886 the creepy sounds are tornado sierns going off

  • May 5th was the day of my brother's funeral :/

  • What kind of sirens are those there at the first minute and a half? they sound really cool.

BTW GREAT video Scott -- subscribing now!

  • @Marc7665 Thanks so much for subscribing! Not sure what type of sirens they are. I'm just learning now about the different sirens out there, but there are some that are very knowledgeable about the types of sirens used, and there sounds. Thanks so much for watching!

  • man i remember the tornado in andover, ks. its right by wichita. anyway, that shit was crazy, i wish i seen it first hand

  • @oday215 The Andover tornado was insane! There are several videos on youtube showing that storm.

  • @tornadovideostock ya i just watched it those kids have balls man. lol check out a video called "amazing kansas tornado footage-unedited" great footage.. do u chase for a living? or were u just bored

  • @oday215 I'll check it out! And I am a freelance photographer by trade so I do "technically" chase for a living, but I document everything from tornadoes, to lightning, hurricanes, blizzards, etc. I also film local bands in and around New York City where I live. I am also working on a NYC sights and sounds archive as well. So basically my video work encompasses a lot of different things, but most of it is weather related :)

  • @tornadovideostock i bet it must be fun. keep at it and maybe one day you'll direct movies.

  • @oday215 That would be pretty sweet!!

  • Kansas Always gets the best storms. In Missouri or the Kansas City metro area to be exect don't get very meny tornadoes . I did happen to get a funnel last year though. The video i took is on my channel.

  • @MissWWE20 Sweet! I'll check it out :) Kansas certainly sees it's fair share of storms that's for sure! Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • im from ireland and have only seen tis one but it was only a f1 it ripped through my neighbours back garden and didnt even touch mine why was tat?

  • @conorz678 Oh wow! Yes, tornadoes can and do on many occasions completely destroy one part of a neighborhood, while leaving structures only a short distance away practically untouched. They are very localized and unpredictable. Thanks for watching!

  • oh yeah cool as..my brothers been within a km of i tornado when trucking with dad over there he said that he got a little bit freaked out but dad new what to do so he was algood

  • @smogsylove Glad everything turned out all right!! Yes, it certainly something you never forget once you see one.

  • ohk thanks.. ive been looking on the internet for info but it all pretty much says the same thing.. is it sceary being that close to a tornado?id imagine it would be or are you use to it now?

  • @smogsylove Being close to a tornado is certainly a memorable experience, and yes it can be a bit nerve racking at times. You have to be hyper alert as to everything going on around you and always know where you are in relation to the storm you are tracking. It's certainly an experience you never forget

  • ive never been in a tornado cause i come from a country where they only happen like once in a blue moon but the noise in the background does that mean that there is gonna be a tornado so watch out?? im interested in this kind of stuff but never get the chance to ask people that actually have a clue what they are on about??? cause im from New Zealand and no1 nos anything about storms and i dont no any weathermen haha

  • @smogsylove Thanks for watching and commenting! Actually, the sound or sounds of a storm have nothing to do with whether it will produce a tornado or not. But rapidly rotating clouds (which this storm certainly had) are a very good sign that a tornado may be forming. I live in New York City and like you, we rarely have tornadoes here. But storms have fascinated me since I was a kid and every year I travel out to the mid west in search of them. The internet is full of great info on storms!

  • Great video Scott! I can't wait for spring, I hope to see you out there!

  • Thanks Linda!! Glad you enjoyed the video :) And yes, counting the days until spring and I hope we see you out there as well!!

  • I think it is semi-obligatory to mention that this was the day after Greensburg, and all this new storm activity was not welcome to the rescue and cleanup crews!

  • Very true...it was about the last thing they needed that day. I remember many of the storms on May 5th affected Kiowa County once again. That put people even more on edge, if that was even possible considering all that had happened the day prior.

  • very cool cant wait for spring and storms again

  • Me too! Can't wait!! thanks for watching and commenting!

  • Awesome video-photography, Scott..I'm glad I found these brand new uploads.. of these wallclouds and even funnels..even good lightning at the very end of this aweosme video...... Truly amazing..and you got an excellent camcorder....as the video shows.....((wish it was around back on 6/26/88, heeeheee..during those ''train-effect-severe Tstorms))...))

  • Glad you enjoyed the video! And yes, I really wish the camera technology was there back in 1988. I did have a "high end" camera for that time, but compared to today's cameras, well...there really is no comparison. Still though, I'm happy with what I was able to get back in the 80s! I got your email too...just haven't had time to reply just yet

  • My favorite Cinco de Mio chase ever.

  • It was an intense chase day for sure. Lots going on all at once!

  • Just another couple months for me , states though it could start anytime

  • It'll be interesting to see how this season pans out. Can't wait to get out there chasing myself :) Thanks for watching!

  • OMG amazing video!

In 3:50 you can see how the clouds are light green color which means that there is a high probability of a tornado going down!

    Beautiful video 5/5

  • Thanks!! Glad you enjoyed the vid!

  • @Lukasz564 you idiot, green in the clouds doesn't have anything to do with a tornado.

  • @ksff286

Could not have been aware that I NORMALLY? Challenges me as a man who has something wrong with his head! You are insane, and in this commentary afflicted himself to zero! You are a zero! No longer speaks to me because poniżysz even more!

You should go to a psychiatrist!

  • An idiot is an utterly foolish or senseless person. I did not make any statement about you having problems with your head. 'green' in the clouds have not been linked to tornadoes at all, but often occur and is a sign of hail, though no reguards to the size of the hail. All I was meaning to entail was to do a little more research about what you're tossing out, and you should be open to critizism so you learn more, not close up at the first sign of someone disagreeing with you. Have a nice day

  • Well, actually, it does, if you believe green indicates hail.

    A) Green means hail, ergo

    B) there is a strong updraft, ergo

    C) tornado is quite possible

  • @ChaseTheSky Um, well, considering that hail is present in a large number of thunderstorms..... so updrafts are commonly present, and tornadoes occur in what? 1% of all thunderstorms? I don't beleive that it is very accurate in any way by saying that 'greenish' clouds mean there is a tornado. It's like the current NWS Wichita video of the week saying that a Severe Thunderstorm is a thunderstorm producing a tornado. Their definition is totally wrong, even though they are just trying to inform.

  • "saying that 'greenish' clouds mean there is a tornado"

    Excuse me? Where?

  • Everyone posts videos of storms right before storm season XD

  • True, lol....many of us do :) Thanks for watching!

  • Super ! 5 !

  • Nice storm capture!5*s

  • i love supercells tornadoes and nice video

  • Thanks!!!

  • Thanks Nathan!

  • Love it!
