Wow I thought I couldn't be surprised to learn something I didnt know regarding a Stevie song - but this did it. I never knew After the Glitter was originally written as a Buckingham Nicks Demo. It never ceases to amaze me how Stevie trancends time with her music. Even now she is releasing songs she wrote 30 years ago and they are just seeing the light of day - Thats been the case her whole career.
What a bunch of nice pictures!! And sound quality and beautiful, emotional song -- though have listened to Fleetwood Mac for decades (a million years!) -- I wasn't familiar with this song 'til recently. thank you for putting this on You Tube!! Love it. Your efforts and generosity are APPRECIATED.
@bruho5 That is exactly what I was thinking. They had started breaking up before their super success of "Rumours" and to me it looks like Lindsey was still just so heartbroken. They said they went from nothing to being millionaires in just a few months, but you can still see the longing in Lindsey's eyes. Stevie must of been out of her mind to break it up with him. Of course I don't know the entire story, only they do.
I love how when stevie writes a song, and it really means a lot to her, she'll eventually release it. I didn't even know this song was from the BuckinghamNicks era. Same with Rose Garden... she wrote that many years before she wrote it. I just think its admirable how much her music means to her.
True...I didn't know it was a B/N demo either...the copyright date on "Bella Donna" says 1975, by which time they had joined Fleetwood Mac, but it could be from even earlier (74?). Anyways, I like this demo better than the released version, same as I like the similarly country-ish demo for "That's Alright" better than the eventual "Mirage" version...
As an original Pre-Mac Buck/Nick fan, I thank you...
