i love how during his interview he had a radio voice without any kind of accent. kind of all american but around dan whos his buddy he slips up and his german accent starts to creep him. i bet when hes pissed he just slips entirely back into german, that would be hilarious
@tiemedown Did you also notice that when Dan tells Adrian "That's why I came to warn YOU first" Adrian sort of smirks? It's like he's thinking "Haha. Yes! I already own you, bitch!" Lol.
lol I know right, to me he looked touched and relieved, like " fantastic, now I dont have to murder you". I really think Jon and Dan are the people Adrian is closest to (sort of )....but he also owns Dan (everyone does). I'm glad they changed the meeting to Dan, it makes more sense that Rorschach would strongly avoid Adrian (unlike Dan who is a loveable trusting goofball and didnt pick up on that little twitch)
@tiemedown I bet he puts on his american radio voice on purpose. But Dan is a colleague, so he feels more comfortable letting his german accent show through.
The only complaint I have about this brilliant, amazing, fantastic movie is Adrian. First, he's waaaay too skinny. Dan is like twice his size. Second, what's with the accent? He calls other people "nazi", but he sounds like one.
Then again, Goode did brilliant job as Adrian, so who cares.
my friend, Adrian had a german parent. his dad or mum im not sure. hes so ashamed of it and decided to travel the world to start something new/big and forget about the past. thats how he became Ozymandias. in fact, he himself has german blood.
Yeah someone already mentioned this but yes Adrian's parents were German, but he wasn't proud of this fact as the Nazi's were German. So when he is in public he hides his German accent, as you can see from the interview in the film, but when he's talking with Dan he sounds German :)
Well the actor who portrayed Adrian claimed that the reason for the strange aceent was that after reading the graphic novel that Adrian might want to cover up his accent to make himself appear more "appealing" to the public
my friend, i have to disagree. in this version, hes supposed to look like a "mr nice guy" , the one who looks like he cant harm anybody, but looks can be deceiving. dont u think its cool for a character, to be light, like 160lbs maybe, but has the ability and strength of a 270lbs powerlifter. take bruce lee for example. hes a small guy, but obviously stronger than average dudes.
Yeah i agree with you the whole looks can be deceiving part. But based on the comic version, he is way off. I dun mind how he looks in this version, I just think he's a tad too skinny hahahah
I thought Adrian was pretty good. Funny looking, but he looks like a random guy who you'd find on the street. They all do, which make the book and movie sort of realistic.
I liked the man who played Adrian, and I also like that they replaced Rorschach with Nite Owl in the film. Although I agree, the man who played Adrian is a bit skinny in comparison to what he looked like in the novel. Nonetheless, I liked that weird little accent he has going on... really makes him different from everyone else. I think he did a good job.
in the graphic novel, Rorschach was the one who warned Adrian about the masked killer. in the movie, Dan/Nite Owl did it instead of Rorschach. as u can see in this video.
I'm not a huge fan of the actor playing Ozi. He looks too skinny to lift up a 240 lb man, and his hair doesnt seem right. I can see brown hair roots underneath the fake color of blond in the hair, and he seems to mumble alot. Probably to sound eccentrically intelligent, but unfortunately fails.
this movie is gonna be awesome... i just saw a video were rorschach is sneaking to go warn Jon... and it starts out by him saying "Talking to Dreiberg left bad taste in mouth" ... i LOLed
Maybe because Snyder wanted to make clear he is the boss in this movie....it's either that or Rorschach seemed unlikely to get so high into the building.
Still, there is one difference in this scene from Hayter's script: Adrian shows more cocnern about the potential nuclear war. Which actually does fit with his character.

Yeah. In the comic books, Rorschach warns Adrian. Not Dan.
