  • this is great stuff..reminds me of C64 sids

  • What in track reminds you of them?

I listen to a lot of sids, but cant really hear a resemblance! :/

  • I've been trying to find the text to the spoken word bit at the begining of this record. There are a few atempts floating around but none of them seem right, i guess the accent throws people :) Does anyone know who wrote it, and if it's published anywhere? Would be very grateful!

  • @worldserviceradio . as far as i know its dj q himself (william Hall) who wrote and performed it.

  • @worldserviceradio

    (last verse)

And though our names and faces change in time, our music will endure

And a simple task shall always be the same

That until the world has ended, 'til the walls come crashing down

The underground religion we will maintain.

  • @worldserviceradio

From the days when house was built we have been here

To the frontiers of the music world we came

Pushing back the boundaries we have sought to make you dance, we are your servants which we ever will remain

We are the soldiers of the underground, protectors of the faith

That's why it is one that never can be tamed

We do not seek your adoration, your respect is all we seek

For that respect will help the movement to sustain

  • I will never forget the fisrt time I ever heard this track. It was on the Paul Welsh Radio Show Summer 1996. I'd never heard anything like it before. I loved it then and still do now. That groove is so addictive. Does anybody know who he sampled?

  • The Main lopped Sample on A1 "We are one" was ripped from the classic Instant Funk Instrumental Track "World of Sports" on Salsoul Records 1978.
