Healthy Platonic Love for this upload! This vinyl is buried deep in the crate collection in my parents' loft due to me being married with kids and having no "spare room mixing studio" anymore (sob!) Great selection!
Healthy Man Love for this upload! This vinyl is buried deep in the crate collection in my parents' loft due to me being married with kids and having no "spare room mixing studio" anymore (sob!) Great selection mate!
Dj Q is Paul flynn and the voice is William Hall classic stuff used to buy all his records straight away when they came out. It was released in 96/97 not to sure its burried in the back of my records at the moment. "the porn king" on Glasgow Underground was one of my favs what a label
I've been trying to find the text to the spoken word bit at the begining of this record. There are a few atempts floating around but none of them seem right, i guess the accent throws people :) Does anyone know who wrote it, and if it's published anywhere? Would be very grateful!
I will never forget the fisrt time I ever heard this track. It was on the Paul Welsh Radio Show Summer 1996. I'd never heard anything like it before. I loved it then and still do now. That groove is so addictive. Does anybody know who he sampled?

@worldserviceradio
(last verse)
And though our names and faces change in time, our music will endure
And a simple task shall always be the same
That until the world has ended, 'til the walls come crashing down
The underground religion we will maintain.

@worldserviceradio
From the days when house was built we have been here
To the frontiers of the music world we came
Pushing back the boundaries we have sought to make you dance, we are your servants which we ever will remain
We are the soldiers of the underground, protectors of the faith
That's why it is one that never can be tamed
We do not seek your adoration, your respect is all we seek
For that respect will help the movement to sustain

The Main lopped Sample on A1 "We are one" was ripped from the classic Instant Funk Instrumental Track "World of Sports" on Salsoul Records 1978.
