  • Sign up for Vault tec!

  • Those people would be dead within a week if they tried to live in that thing! This stuff is so kooky! These propaganda films are the reason people are so stupid!

  • @StanAlter actually they would have a much better chance of surviving dangerous levels of radiation

even if they only lived in there a week after nuc war or a reactor accident they would be better off

    than not having any shelter.

  • Yes, let's all live a room together as we make planet earth poisonous.

  • dude thomasville georgia i live in cairo ga just a few miles away lol

  • @fragmaster101 woohoo! lol 101

  • Lol theres still a bomb shelter in my school from the 1950s.

  • @talonpop same with mine its under the basement :p

  • @talonpop Yeah I think there is one under my gym because under the gym is hollow and has a door going down.

  • is it just me or did that door seem wery thin. for use in a shelter ???

  • @DarthPulven Fallout shelters are different than bomb or nuclear shelter.

    Fallout dissipates after 2 weeks.

  • No need to make your own shelter. RESERVE YOUR SPOT! VAULT TEC!!

  • So after watching this video I did some research on google and found out that persons is actually a correct plural form of person. LOL

  • Screw you all, I'd just sell my 2 million dollar house, and my Audi and then build like a 5 story underground vault protected with lead, concrete, steel, and wood and shit, I'd have around a 1000 sq feet of living space, and I'd include a giant like 3000 gas gallon generator, and 10000 galons of water, plus around 20,000 calories worth of Snickers, 30,000 of Chunky, and another 20,000 worth of like dried fruit and beef Jerky LO and a TV set, and an PS3

  • bring back the 50s!!!

  • @TheArmyKid999 god i wish

  • i agree with you! im kinda crazy if u must say but im agnostic and worship aliens 0.0

the bible speaks of the gods coming down in cylinder ships! who wouldn't think he was an alien... anyways i just started my bomb shelter yesterday in my basement... hahah...

  • WHEATON, MARYLAND!!!!!!!!

I LIVE RIGHT NEXT TO WHEATON!!

lol i feel popular hahahahhahaa lmao

  • im assuming a fallout shelter is built after the nukes hit right? since an above ground one WOULDNT FUCKING LAST if the bombs hit

  • Nope, it's to be built before the bombs hit, but if you are outside of a primary or secondary target area. If you are within the ring of death of a primary target, don't bother.

  • @Stag15Carbine Whether or not fallout shelters are worth it depends on where in comparison to the blast you are. Of course if you're in a major city or within a few miles of a military installation, you wouldn't last 5 seconds after the flash. If you're like me and about 30 miles from anything remotely military (the places I'm talking about are quite small and thus might actually be ignored or just give a few kilotons), this shelter would be useful.

  • Now I know where the game series Fallout took all their design ideas from. Damn those items look almost like those in the game! :D

  • ya cant beat yum yum deviled eggs with pork n beans

  • yea lol

  • Civil Defense? Right. We are on our own! No Nuke Shelters anywhere for the public! ALL shelters were closed,no longer have any. Unless you live in the State of Alabama, they told Bill Clinton he was not taking away their shelters, they privatized the Civil D Shelters and stock supplies.

Only Government has "DUMB" shelters. I guess they are the only ones that matter...

Yet, they tell us we have a high nuke threat from terrorists now. Gov report in December said will happen by 2013. ???

  • Actually, Pennsylvania has a small handful of fallout shelters that are still standing and open, though disused. There's one not even three miles from where I live.

  • Actually, radiation shielding is achieved by the use of mass. A properly constructed above ground block construction shelter can offer quite effective fallout protection provided that it is located sufficiently far away enough from a blast that might damage the shelter and compromise the structure itself.

  • we just need a lot of lead not that much of aluiam and some paper and you safe from radtion

  • "Above" ground fallout shelter?

Did the government really want people to work hard and spend money on something that wouldn't even work...

And what kind of retards really thought that a cheap, above ground, cinder block, non-aerodynamic box, with no radiation shielding, would protect there family?

It hurts my brain to imagine the poor, scared, Determined & ignorant, american family guy who fell for this sh*t, & built one to protect his family from a nuke.

5/5 A nice classic propaganda movie.

  • If some creepy guy with a flat top and horn rims glasses tries to get you to go down to his basement to check out his fallout shelter, DON'T GO!!! Trust me on this one...

  • LMFAO LMFAO LMFAO, DUDE, That just made my day, omg that was funny.

  • I have to do a project on Fallout Shelters.... boo..... But nice video.

  • Family shelters were abandoned after the development of the H-Bomb, which caused larger scale destruction, and longer timeframe contamination. Some shelters were used in the midwest as tornado shelters. Still others were used as spare bedrooms & storage. Very few exist today, but when they come to light, they're an interesting look at a time gone past.
