Ira Glass! Please ARTICULATE your words! I had to run it back twice to hear the "people" in "people can surprise you". I love your stories but c'mon dude - you're in the business of COMMUNICATION.
Speech impediment? Maybe it's that he just doesn't pronounce all of his "L's" - if he says something about "building blocks," he says it more like "bihwding bwlocks." - it's pretty subtle. It's almost like he's rushed or something, always a little hyper. It's odd, and it's something that makes him sound almost more normal, like people who seem to talk too fast for clear pronunciation. So much information to get across and not enough time to do it.
@kristianjl or maybe he has a speech impediment that he has over came a long time ago and he has learned to work around it. Most of the time he speaks very clearly and has a very good "radio" voice. I've been listening to him since TAL has been on the air and he concistently has problems with those sounds that you just mentioned.
Watching acters do make-beleive stories is okay... But wouldn't it be INFORMative to hear and SEE real people living real stories at least now and then? Reality. Wow. What a concept! (Plug from a fan: me!)
@fogbart Hello fogbart. I read your comment and im not familiar at all but i been asked to see the shows. BUt i have, not but will. Now your comment says. they are not real people? that they are "actors" pretendeing they are real people?

Interesting - that bit about the pigs. It's weird that we eat something so smart. I mean, don't get me wrong, pork is delicious, but yea...

@calvinlotz its weired? well, to make your dreams better, all the pigs we ate are died in combat, so no worries.
