  • star wars yoda!!!!!!!!

  • I actually saw the Shaolin first performance in the US in FL back in early 90s

  • Nice!!

  • very inspiring dialogue... "never assume that because a man has no eyes he cannot see... " very true indeed!! thanks for posting this video.

  • Master Po was indeed my all time favorite TV character. Keye Luke was the consumate performer throughout his whole career.

  • nunca desafie um mestre de kung fu cego.

  • lol Kung Fu movies starring White People or White People in asian make-up

  • chuck norris would fuck master po up, before breakfast.....

  • I would have went for the groin area Master Po expects it all towards the face or stomach so I would have done a fake to the face with my right arm, then went for the nut squeeze with the left arm, there would have been ball juice everywhere then I would have been like Katt Williams "I'm a boy Damian"!!.

  • I wouldn't try farting "silently" in front of Master Po

  • as the character of master po once said "which one of us is without flaw"?

  • Marvellous!

  • Everytime i see i keep thinking theres gonna be drop at the end

"16 Bit - Tale Of Exploading Fist" look it up hahaha

  • master po was always my fav.

  • Much better than that Bruce Lee "don't concentrate on the finger" crap.

  • @Koryuhoka Bruce had his own teachings. I think each movie he did got him closer to ideas he was trying to convey. He has a point about not concentrating on the finger, lest you miss all the heavenly glory.

  • @AegisNova - How original! I know all about Bruce Lee and his plagiarized "philosophy".

  • @Koryuhoka But the wisdom in the "Kung Fu" series was mostly Taoism. I'd like you to discuss Bruce more. I'm not one of those who thinks you can't say anything bad about Bruce Lee. I think "Kung Fu" was a better series with Carradine -- he brought a gentleness to the role that most hadn't seen up to that time. To me, Bruce's contributions had more to do with moving away from a rigid, stylized system of fighting.

  • @AegisNova

    you are correct !

  • BEST EPIC MOMENT IN TV MAN

  • Greatest.show.ever.

  • -Master! Why are you eyes white?

-shut up and keep sucking grasshoper!

  • brings back alot of memories from watching this when i was a kid me and dad watched this alot. thank you very much for posting it!!!

  • watching this show helped me to find Jesus...I loved this show,,,,,thank you David,,,

  • @bghowe1 Now Jesus needs to help you find out how to use correct punctuation.

  • RIP Macho Man

  • I lived for it in 4th and 5th grade.

  • This is in a dubstep song and all I think about it woomp wooomp woomp.(:

  • lol white men thinking they know kung fu lmfao

  • @nitekrawler Lol someone thinking that race has anything to do with skill of any sort...

  • Some days I feel like Master PO.

  • "Fear is the only darkness"

  • Somewhere, someone has a copy of an old 7UP commercial that poked fun at this tv show. I wish they would post it.

  • Poor use of inductive reasoning: assume all blind men know kung fu.

  • OMG attack a blind man with a stick, that is is illegal, this is an insult to blind ppl.

  • That's so cool...I had forgotten so much from this show. But I sort of remember a line from Enter the Dragon that has a thinking aspect. When Bruce Lee smacked his student for consentrating on his finger and missing all the glory around them. Maybe someone can remember what he said, please. Shaamex1

  • LISTEN TO "16 BIT - TALE OF THE EXPLODING FIST" THAT SONG WILL KUNG FU JIZZ UR BULL STRANGLERS.

  • that is the question..

  • que buen dialogo.

    -¿como pudo oir eso?

    -¿como no pudiste oirlo tu?

  • Did you hear the Grasshopper fart? Oh wait, that was me.

  • Thumbs up if you heard this on the milky pie mix by 16Bit

  • "How is that you do not?" "well old man I don't have a hearing aid turned up to maximum. Seriously turn it down a tad."

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH - gashppah

  • David Carridine goe murdered in thailand

  • Awesome scene. Thank you so much for this. :)

  • my teacher mrt.lobrana told me about this vid

  • I like all your videos, great job and thumbs up .

  • secret jesus - watch video at jagball22

  • Kid: " Master after all these years living here can I ask you a personnal question ? "

Master: "Ah Grasshopper, what kind of question do you have in mind?

Kid: "Master, why are your eye balls fuck'd up?"

Master: "Grasshopper, take the broom and hit me with it"

Kid: "Why do you want me to hit you with a broom"

Master: "So's, I can take it away from you and beat the living shit out of you for asking me such a dumb stupid-ass question"

  • Like many others, this series had a profound influence on me as a boy,it opened my eyes to the universal spiritual wisdom & potential that is at the heart of each of us.

  • 0:12 looks like Master Po's seriously missing the bowl though

  • Bbruce lee came up with the idea. it was stolen from him and he was chaeted out of the part because he looked too chinese.

  • @veeseee128 not so!! hes acting skills were not as good as David Carradine . Had nothing 2 do with lookin 2 chinese where u hear that from?

  • @westnblu My nieve friend, holly wood was and still is very racist. research the material. I did. lee was passed up for the part because they said he looked too chinese and america at that time didnt want a chinese as a head of prime time tv show. racism is the main reason bruce lee left the states and went to america. If you watch bruce lee the dragon story they make a refererance as to why he didnt get the part.

  • @veeseee128 u forgettin he had a role in The Green Hornet many years b4 he moved overseas. This wasnt an 'asian' role they could have hired any1 yet they selected an asian actor 2 play the part. He left 4 Hong Kong 2 renew his entertainment career also his martial arts schools he set up werent doin all that well probably ahead of its time 4 a western nation anyway he went overseas so wot? many ppl do this 4 a better opportunity and it worked 4 him!! He found his niche

  • @westnblu white boy, you wrong, you wrong ,you wrong, you dont know anything about bruce lee. you are so ignorant. Everything you said is bullshit. Look at his biographies bruce lee the legend, and bruce lee the dragon story. White racist hollywood thought white folks didnt wanted to see a chinese man every week on a show. he was consisdered for the role but they changed their minds and gave it to carradine because he was a whiteman, and he looked less asian. you dont know anything do you?

  • @veeseee128 Im not goin 2 play the race card with u if thats wot u believe so b it. Biographies r just personal opinions and experiences .He himself may have felt he missed out on the part because he was Asian but that dont make it gospel! Many ppl miss out on a job and get frustrated and find excuses. The fact was the producers felt Davis Carradin could pull of the role better full stop

  • @westnblu WHAT EVER!! Im not buying what you sellin.

  • @westnblu doesn't matter..both are dead...however the shame is that the tv show was actually Bruce's concept.

    In effect he was robbed.

  • @hingamy well mayb Bruce Lee didnt get the kudos he deserved 4 coming up with the idea 4 this show but nonetheless the show was a success and David Carradine did the show justice. Would Bruce Lee have done a better job? we will never know.

  • @westnblu Ed Spelman wrote Kung Fu, and the story is about a caucasian is allowed into the shaolin monastery. Spelman dreamed of being the only caucasian allowed into the monastery and learning the secrets of the shaolin.

So Bruce Lee had nothing to do with the creation of it, and as a asian he was naturally thrown out of the rolle casting.

  • @Olebull93 well thanku very much 4 these 'facts' I been responding 2 ppl who have a racist agenda and got caught up in their blinkered view . Thanx again 4 setting the record straight.

  • @westnblu Thats a stupid fukn question. david carradine is a mishap nobody remembers who was loong forgotten, the LEGEND of bruce lee thrives today. his picture can b seen everywhere and is always brought up in martial arts conversations. lesson's of life is this grasshopper, when one denies true greatness his own memory is surely forgotten. racisim was alive in those days clearly! bruce was just a footnote in the green hornet show and denied in kung fu. can only imagine what he would have done

  • @mystrol3 Well i agree with u in the martial arts dept Bruce Lees memory is remembered as 1 of the best if not THE best but not so much in the acting dept. I dont believe he would have played the role as good as David Carradine.David Carrradine played the role very cool calm and collected Bruce Lee would have been more animated and i dont think the role would have suited his style. And racism works both ways. When Bruce Lee opened up karate school classes in the US many Asians opposed the idea

  • @westnblu ironically the same hollywood that rejected him called him years later to star in the biggest martial arts epic of all time enter the dragon. lee came up with the concept about a chinese monk wandering the wild west. lee would have been perfect for the part. he was as good a actor as carradine.

  • @veeseee128 u exaggerating the racist component in all this

  • where can i find these episodes?

  • This is so Hollywood a blind man would never be able to do that

  • Old man:Yu cannot see.

    Kid: i am not blind.

Old man: Yu didn't mean it.

    Kid: I am gay.

  • What I love about these shows from the early `70`s is they are absolutely crystal clear on DVD. I mean you can see the pores on the skin the detail is so clear, and these are from shows almost 40 years old. It starts to give us an idea of what the future will be like. We live in a time where movies and photography are relatively new, you can only look back so far. But 200, 500 even 1000 years from now people are going to be able to see in crystal clarity how people were a millenium ago

  • wtf a whole bunch of weirdo'sss

  • the sync is bad

  • Pwned...with knowledge.

  • RIP...2 YEARS AGO TODAY...I MISS HIS ACTING

  • My dad and I are both of the opinion that this sis the best scene of the whole series.

  • "How is it that you do not" - genuine Chan Buddist approach, that helped to make numerous great warriors of old.

  • lol sexual misconduct.

  • what a classic ! young grasshopper LOOOL

  • good

  • What Confucius fails to teach young Grasshopper are the dangers of auto erotic asfictiation.

  • LOL!

  • Confusious told him he would go blind if he kept doing that, grasshopper figured he would stop when he needed glasses,

  • Why do you feel you need to constantly attack a dead man's reputation? He is dead! And as far as I know he didn't harm anyone in his life. So, what is your point?

  • ,,that is most true young man, Grasshopper was a wise man we all can appreciate & remember because he was great, let us not forget him as you intend to do, & let us not forget mistakes that even the ones we admire & respect the most can sometimes perform.

  • Last piece of dialogue: fucking awesome.

  • I responded my voice over comedy version of Kung Fu to this vid its called Cabbage if ya want a good laugh please have a look. Thanks anyone who comments on my vidz i comment on theirs

  • Doubt that's true and if it is it'll be people with a western perspective not because they are white.

  • your talking complete shit, i know that isnt true for a fact.

  • hey, troll! This is a clip from a tv series.

Did you hear that? A TV SERIES.

    Retard....

  • ,,they have to, it's the law or monk masters go to prison where they get sodomized on a daily basis.

  • ya do know that this tv series was Bruce Lee's idea. His own producer stole it from him because his producer knew that back at the time chinese couldn't do nothing about it. it's a damn shame. but yeah..hey ya know how to get a pair of bruce lee sunglasses? I need a pair.

  • The reason why I study Kung Fu Today is because of this television series of my childhood.

    It is STILL AWESOME!!

  • I love Ancient Asian wisdom, but in these Kung fu films, they always sound so pretentious.

  • I agree, it made me laugh at the end

  • Pwn3d

  • Touche

Hehe, I love the look the kid gives at the end.

  • I remember seeing this on TNT once years ago. I realized then it was the reason Master Po called him "Grasshopper" from that point on.

    Amazing scene.

  • One of my beloved series in my youth!

  • yeah, keith carradine played the young grasshopper

  • .A good moment.

But i prefer the Bangcock drama.

  • Interesting that this show was on around the same time as Star Wars

  • Didn't one of David's brothers play the "young" grasshopper?

  • Good job grasshopper may you beat off in Heaven or Hell now with a rope around your neck and genitals

  • Let's not be judgmental. i think we've all tried that rope trick at least once!

  • Hey hey! Kids don't make me turn this car around!

  • Hey sicko f#ck off

  • Bruce Lee was a great actor and comedian, who had so much more to give, but he was too much an "A" personality for this role. David Carradine was perfect for this role. My father loved this show. Being a western drew in the old folks, and the Kung Fu drew in the young folks. The philosophy drew them both in! RIP David!

  • RIP

  • Well done, grasshopper! And thank you for the fond memories!

  • One of the greatest moments in television history, where entertainment became something more -- art.

  • just went out and ordered the entire three year series on dvd.............who would have thought that a 10 year old in a catholic family would grow to a man that studies buddhism......probably my parents who watched me glued to this tv show.

    thanks grasshopper

  • I have watched a fly for two days now.

    These insects irritate me terribly

This evening I saw him struggling behind a blind.

I reached out and said come to me

He walked onto my finger and I opened the veranda and

    set him free.

He has as much right to a life as I have.

  • my first hero and role model.

  • I was 12 in 1972 when the show first aired, and I never missed an episode during it's entire run. RIP CD.

  • Rest in Peace, Grasshopper. All us kids from the 70's will always remember you for ever...

  • now would be great for the old kung fu series to be ran on tvland.

  • wonder who this kid was

  • Radames Pera : In 2004, Pera moved to Austin, Tx, where he started up a business named "Get It Wired" , a custom home wiring entertainment firm. Austin is home to a burgeoning film community Radames divides his attention between the business and participating in the local film scene there. He occasionally screens episodes of Kung Fu to young filmmakers at the Austin Film Society hoping to inspire young people to tackle The Bigger Ideas with their projects.

  • did the old man teach him the rope trick?

  • fuckin hell the old man looks creepy

  • aw man that's harsh lol

  • Very few people remember or care that it was RADAMES PERA who played 'grasshopper' in his youth. I loved this show and own the first and second seasons of it on DVD. Which I STILL watch. It was a GREAT show with a great message. I would rather my son watch THIS than all the mindless shit that now owns the TV waves. Thanks to all who made this series what it was,and to David Carradine who represented the type of person we probably all wish we were but few find. 'Grasshopper' is still searching.

  • Welcome to the Hutchence club

  • R.I.P. David Carradine. There will never be another Grasshopper like you.

  • I can't believe grasshopper died in a wanking accident. He was my hero when I was a kid.

  • RIP David Carradine, an inspiration for me to get into martial arts as a kid and Zen as an adult.

  • What ever happened to smart TV like this? A lesson is being learned through Chinese philosophy.

  • had some great sayings , didn't they

  • wenn kung fu-time war, war die straße leer. es war pflichtprogramm. es berührt mich so sehr das ich feuchte augen bekomme. was ging in david vor, so von seinen geheimen fans zu scheiden?

    ich bin ganz traurig

  • autoerotic asphyxiation. bad t imes, man. bad times

  • This was "must see TV" for me and my pals in grade school, especially season 1. How sad to see Carradine's life end this way.

  • i hate to say it but it WAS time for him to leave.

  • RIP

  • god bless to you DAVID CARRADiNE you were great actor in kung fu tv show .

makes you wonder why he took his life ?

  • sounds like master po is taking a leak

  • True Christian 56, it is written, "Judge not lest ye be judged". Judging is God's job....NOT YOURS.

  • Farewell Grasshopper, you will be missed.

  • CARRADiNE WAS THE KiNG OF KOOL!!!.. i so wanted to be the next big grasshopper when i was a wee little grasshopper, which inspired me to take up martial arts!!

  • RIP Grasshopper

  • What do you hear? I hear the grasshopper.

  • TRUECRISTIAN56 ...That is hilarious! Either you are a true master of sarcasm or you are for real. I hope the former.

  • I loved the show in the early seventies. I decided to take up kung fu lessons back then, inspired by the wise Grasshopper.

  • R.I.P. grasshopper. my prayers go out to the family and friends.

  • R.I.P., Grasshopper.

  • @TRUECRISTIAN(sic) - I'm sorry you never finished high school but is that really a reason to take your frustration out on other people? Please put down your keyboard & stop making the rest of us Americans look foolish on the interwebs. Thank you.

  • Godspeed, Grasshopper.

  • Very saddened to hear of David Carradine's death. Condolences to his family and friends. I remember watching this show many, many years ago.
