Seems to me that the issue being debated here is essentially a semantic understanding of the difference between a noun and a verb. The metaphorical 'noun-ification' (usually personification) of principles, concepts etc. are really at the core of all that is religious and mythological. Getting someone like Slick to admit that however is not easy. he seems tangled up in his own convictions.

Here is a 3rd option. The people who got together and wrote the bible,would of LIKED to be able to believe in a higher power of ther own that had all of the traits listed in this arguement. It would keep the people in line to think a being like this was "watching their every move". I have an idea for Matt. Stop referring to the bible for everything. It is a book written by men......Truths and facts? Its like saying that me writting a book about rocket science 2,000 years ago would be accurate . There were no rockets 2,000 years ago, just as there was no god 2,000 yrs ago. It is fair to say that had a person written a book on rockets 2k yrs ago, that over the years the book could of been edited and reworked as the technology improved. The same cannot be said for the bible
