Thank you for your comment. You can see many of my ideas in action on my Sunday Heppner channel. I created videos where the children are engaged in learning the way they want to learn. They ask me to teach in a certain way. So why not. When you have a group of children motivated to learn by their innate desire, you have the perfect environment for teaching.
Apart from watching these videos, what can I do to get to know more about your methods? I have been to your site and it says I have to buy a book? is it available in Malaysia, do you know? tq
Hello, I am training to become a teacher in Malaysia, where English is the second language. Would this method work for children who know only a few words in English, do you think?
Yes. I have used it with English Second Language (ESL) classes that I have taught. Also I have coached many ESL teachers and they have noticed great improvement in their students learning the English language. It gives the children the opportunity to speak English orally as a group so they can practice speaking and not feel intimidated. Thank you for your question.
@MayaDrew The purpose in making these videos is to share my expertise especially with the new teachers. They can avoid many negative experiences in the classroom by using my tips and strategies. The children need to be in a positive environment to learn. In addition, they will become respectful of the teacher and themselves.
When I can share with others my knowledge and expertise which has made teaching fun and receive comments like yours, I feel truly blessed. Thank you! @shanmichele08
Sunday, do your mehtods work on older children and would they work in the uk? What type of methods would you suggest for supply teachers who teach in different schools every day (as cover for absent teachers) and nearly always faced with a troublesome class due to the nature of their work.
@toll25 It seems to be working now. Yes, my strategies will work with older children in the uk. If you have a troublesome class, try playing a game using the lesson that needs to be taught. Divide the class into two teams and have the class chose two captains they respect and know the material to be taught. Use the two captains as your mini teachers to help teach the lesson. Children love games and learning from their peers.

I've never heard of the idea that "if the teacher is having fun, everyone is having fun" but it makes sense! Thanks for the tips!
