Aramus fought the Black Legion in Chaos Rising, Angelos was just in the final battle.

You fight the Alpha Legion in Retribution with the exception of the first level, but even then that's Diomedes, not Angelos.

@Zeredek Close. It's actually the Black Legion you fight against throughout Retribution. The Alpha legion only plays a role throughout the first Dawn of War game.

Force Commander Aramus was sent on a penitent crusade, and we presume that Thaddeus went with him. I believe they are still alive.

Avitus was the betrayer in Chaos Rising, although I must admit, I rather liked him. It's a shame. But even so, Kyras is dead and Gabriel is the new Chapter Master.

None shall find him wanting.

Some argue that they are still loyal to their Emperor and that Sindri was actually the most tragic of heroes, for he gave his life in order to set in motion the events that lead up to this battle. It all could have gone according to his grand scheme, which involved sacrificing himself in order to make the future a littleless dark. Personally, I know ot what to think of this.

God... First they fight Eliphas on Kronus, then he's revived by the black legion, They fought against eliphas again and won, then almost the entire blood ravens chapter falls to chaos and Kyras thanks to the sacrifices of their troops becomes a daemon prince. I wouldn't be surprised if he's revived in another game/expansion...

Also. They revive Eliphas wich wasn't even a daemon prince and not Sindri? WTF!?

He did it because he wanted to prove himself better then Horus who by all rights truly was a extremely powerful Daemon Prince which is basically what he was when he fought the Emperor. He just lacked a truly Daemonic form but he had all the powers of Daemonhood basically.... Abbadon wants to one up Horus.

You would had expected a final fight of Angelos vs Kyrass, the explanation of why Kyrass did what he did. More companies going to Aurelia sub sector, the Inquisiton actually being smarter and many other things.

It was a plain vanilla effort to wrap things up and tie all the nods.

@DtemplarK When you fight him on Primarch, (I know it's Very Hard difficulty but I prefer the old titles.), destroying the towers hardly makes a difference. 500000+ health, not kidding, plus Bloodcrushers coming in in pair every other hit is only possible with marines or tyranids. If you can do it with anyone else than you should do this for a living...
