  • I guess that it would be possible to sell fire opal as fire agate. But opal and agate are very different in make up and opal usually sells for more. DONI

  • Fire agate has a very special growth pattern, that Ethiopian material does look a bit similar but fire agate has a bulbous growth pattern. If you look closely you'll see little balls of fire, almost looks alien. I have a nice bolo- Royal colors, nicer than your piece (sorry to say!) I should take a vid of it.
