  • a good video for someone who is at square one. Im sure thats what you intended. what I am looking for is a video that actually explains what "clocks" are what front side bus is and how changing voltage effects things. not some supertech video but a scooby-style breakdown. If i ever figure it out ill make one! But again great vid for what you intended.

  • @gohog3 IT'S A TRAP!!! Sorry everyone was saying its a binary clock(which It is) and I wanted to be different

  • Your binary clock is going the wrong way

  • Best Explain in YouTube:) - Keep it real buddy!

  • ahahhahahah so if im thirsty i just need to overclock my pc to get some juice out of it hhahah :p

  • thank you so much - so overclocking is a way to work your computer to max to get better performace out of it

  • They will even leave the case open in some cases lol

  • How come you stopped forecasting the weather?

  • THANK YOU!!!!!! :)

  • So basically you're just telling the processor to work harder and there Is possibility of overheat etc

  • The holders of the world records and holder of near world records in overclocking, uses liquid nitrogen (and if I remember right from school it's about -194*Celsius) Its even incredible that your computer survives the cool.. Because the average home electronics is designed to withstand temperatures at minimum -5 degrees celcius (much warmer than liquid nitrogen), and at a maximum of 120 degrees celcius.

  • @Henoik the current world record is something like 8.14 gz, held by AMD's bulldozer. They used liquid helium to reach that.

  • @feuchster Have you ever heard of homemade CPU's? But what you are saying may be true, but anyways, liquid helium is below 0.9 K (-272.25 degrees celsius), much cooler than liquid nitrogen.

Worlds highest overclocking was beaten Sep. 13. 2011, by AMD's Bulldozer with 8.429 Ghz. That is a lot. Yes, they used liquid helium, see more info at techwarelabs(dot)com

  • Can I add , generally if Intel is making a 3.5ghz and a 3.8ghz processor what they actually do is try and make all 3.8ghz processors. in the past the ones that would not run at 3.8ghz were locked to 3.5ghz. Today, generally they just take a certain number and lock them to 3.5ghz as the process is good enough now days to make them all able to run at 3.8 . - numbers used here were made up

  • Blue thing on the wall is a binary clock. It's around 8:25

  • Thank you really helped (:

  • That shit helped me thx bro go Gators!!

  • Lol, that funny thing on the wall that made Square things, eventually made the shape of a Penis! Im just immature...

  • will it help gaming speed?

  • wtf is that shit in the background yo? some nerd clock?

  • Thumbs up if you were staring at his digital buttons thing in the top left hand corner instead of paying attention to him. Lol

  • thanks i get it now

  • The Badass alternative art KFC Colonel Sanders on the wall is God damn epic and so fucking lulzy.

    Because he's black.

    And blacks like fried chicken.

    HAHAHAHAHA!

  • i agree with everything he said and if U don't,,there somit rong with you!!

  • discrace to the black race

  • This is not recommended :|. There is a factory overclock setting. ASUS computers have them. Its a safer way to overclock. Alienware also has a factory overclock. If you dont know much about Your Computer 101 Do Not Manually Overclock.

  • ty very much sir

  • they'll even leave the case open in some cases... lol

  • I love this guy, he reminds me of coach from left 4 dead 2.

  • @iLaughatInsanity Maybe he wants some Good-Ol'-Fashioned Cola!

  • 1.2 GHz Processor. Lol.

  • was this recorded around midnight or do i not know how to read binary clocks?

  • Kenpachi Fried Chicken

  • THumbs up Kenpachi!

  • @MiTDawnDesigns depends on how high you overclock and your cooling system. but for a general answer, "yes." if you dont know what your doing I would be careful

  • @MiTDawnDesigns hmmm...might be

  • 8:22 win he made this vid

  • great thanks

  • KFC Kenpachi in the background...Awesome!

  • I've seen the 2600k @ 5.5ghz O.O

  • dam i was gana but my cooling SUX!

  • Thanks so much brother man, I'm still wondering whether I want to overclock my cp, because I play minecraft, and other games of the sort, and I'm not getting the performance I want out of it, yet again thank ya brother!

  • uhm i have a shity power suply and a shitty motherboard can i still overclock my 1.9gtz processor to maybe like 2.3gtz?

  • Hey guys, I dont know much about hardware, but I know about aviation and love FSX. Will these specs run FSX at full graphics. 8GB RAM, 3.6GHz, 2x GeForce GTX 460 graphic cards, and a i5 760 core. Also, I have the operating system on a 60gb SSD.

  • Comment removed

  • @NTBushPilot you will need to overclock you processor, i have my 15 760 at 4.1 ghz using a corsair H50, i haven't had a stability issue yet. the reason you have to over clock your processor is because there is not enough ban with for your graphics cards to push all the computing through the computer so to speak. I have a similar setup, the only difference was that i went with 2x gtx 260 core 216s. your build should be a very nice computer for the few generations of games and computer hardware

  • sir i have a question can i have a games if I have a 1 gig ram? how to download games sir? I hav asus 1005 hab. tnx to all

  • @natnat12341 you can still have games. My laptop only has 2GB ram, and as long as you dont fill it all up you can, cuz a lot of games arent that big in RAM, they mostly take up Hard Disk Space. My games take up about 7GB of hard disk space each and i have 200 gigs

  • Voltages! Voltages! Voltages!

  • thanks morpheus

  • @14kskim i lol'd hard

  • good shit... im not 2 bnig on all the stuff u just said but for the most part i could follow it & understand it... good job. subed.

  • you did an awesome job explaining that

  • i like that blue light thing you got it is counting in binary lol

  • SELERON IS OLD DUD I USE SELERON MANMY FATHER BATH ME THIS COMPUTER IN BACK ON 2000

  • @faris1370 Celeron*

  • Thanks a lot for this video. As funny as it sounds I've actually overclocked my Phenom II with a program my msi mobo came with and didn't have a total understanding of what I was dong. I understood what the outcome would be but to be honest I had no idea what caused the higher clock speed. Thanks a lot. [:

  • Thanks a lot man ... Your exaplanation is really clear.

    Muchas Gracias

    Jesus

  • can overclocking cause any problems

  • Overclocking computers are just like supping up cars except for nerds. It's usually done by testosterone filled young guys who think they're getting something for nothing. In the long run they can lose money because of shortened CPU life. A CPU should last years and years at about the same speed.

  • That guy at the background is from bleach LOL

  • Overclocking at home seems to not make any difference so I think it's useless.

  • i couldnt stop looking at that thing on the wall...

  • AMD has overclocked over 7 GHz using Liquid Helium

  • @vargulf19 the record is over 8ghz on an i7 cpu.. they also used liquid helium

  • what is basecircle

  • thanks for the help it made more scents to me when u said addin a supercharger im a mechanic and im trying to compare a computer to an engine.I wanted to compair all the parts to the engine to a computer but i couldnt do it

  • anyone else find themself staring at the blue thing on the wall?

  • @gohog3 Its an binary clock.

  • @gohog3 the blue thing on the wall is a binary clock

  • @gohog3 u read my mind xD

  • @gohog3 You mean the binary clock?

  • @gohog3 in the beggining of the video i think the time is 8.41

  • @gohog3 It's a binary clock. But yeah, its kinda cool lol.

  • @gohog3 Its a clock

  • @gohog3 it's a clock

  • @gohog3 its a binary clock, i think.

  • @gohog3 think its one of those clocks

  • @gohog3 ist called a bianary clock!

    theyre epic

  • @gohog3 Its a clock

  • @gohog3 It's called a binary clock.

  • Can my P965 DS4 allow my Q9550 to be overclocked past 3.9 GHZ?

  • Great video. Kenpachi ftw. Very educational video. One question: what is that black square on the wall with the random illuminations? I must have it.

  • Nerd? Yes...Bleach poster, AND a binary clock

  • @vargulf19 says the person who knows both of those things after youtubing this video.....

  • @Parts44 That seriously made me laugh out loud...I didn't mean it in a bad way, but yes I'm a nerd...(it was 08:21 when he started the video)

  • @vargulf19 oh haha my bad i thought u were insulting him haha

  • @Parts44 Oh, no that's fine, I get that a lot on the internet. It's impossible to tell tonality on the internet.

  • helped out a lot XD

  • Thank you for answering what it is/ what it does O: very informative!

  • It was 8:21 when you made this video.

  • @disbuylshite Nice you can read binary clocks too =)

  • @Savenku Actually, I take it one step further. I usually read it in true binary format (i.e. 000001:111000:000111, the time right now)

  • @Savenku Yes dude I actually convert it to hex then dec then read it out

Im just kidding but cool dude!

  • for me over clocking is destroying your pc. from the original setup.

  • the only thing i can say is..... <3!!!!!!!!!

  • If anyone knows how to help, i have an asus g73 jh and and i7 720qm processor @ 1.6 ghz. I want to overclock it to 2ghz, but im not sure if that is too high. Is there anyone out there that could help me?

  • HI! ur vid was VERY helpfull. im a highschooler looking to build a new computer from scratch and i have been doing some research on building but im still a little confused on weather or not i have to overclock a new custom pc? cant i just leave it stock?

  • yeah people really gone crayzy with cooling

I swa a video where a dude took his motherboard punt a copper heat sink with a tube up and in the tube hi putted LiQUID NITROGEN i`m not kidding

    write this on youtube

    Liquid Nitrogen Cooled PC

  • [[[[[[[What is overclocking? Google that shit, bitch. Video over.]]]]]]]]

That is what this video should've been.

  • @Scott97169 Youtube is my google

  • I know a chip better than the celeron the Intel Pentium 4

  • Zaraki Kenpachi :D in the background. btw what is MB cache

  • thanks for the video.

  • Intel presented theyr 80 core procesor prototype wich works it can transfer 2 tb in a second!!!!!!!! Thats amaizing!

  • He overclocked his sentence at 5:01

  • hey i got Q&A for ya how can u tell how much of a power supply u need if u build a computer ? if u already have done that video plz send me the link

  • nice vid!!!... by the way, where did you get that KFC Kenpachi poster???

  • say if i got liquid coolers and all that crap how many timees could i mulyply before my processor fails.

  • nice, nice

  • AAARGGH!! Cant keep my eyes of ur Lightboard behind uuuu!!!!!

  • ok that's right, you will need a powerful cooling system if you want to overclock and this is what every page and every video says but nobody mentions that little fact if you dont have a strong power supply you will NOT be able to overclock as efficiently (or even won't be able to overclock in no way) as you would if would buy a strong PSU (power supply).

  • i noticed a gators banner on your wall, is it from the green vally gators?

  • Your the F****** Man!!

This is the perfect video for people who have excellent rigs and who are looking to overclock their systems. So thank you!

  • 0:27 < lol :)

  • Great video, very straight forward 5*

  • Thanks man

  • if anyone is looking to overclock an AMD cpu, look at my videos, i made a walk through tutorial to achive CPU speed.

I have a liquid cooled AMD phenom II X3 720 running at 3.7ghz at the moment, come check it out

  • can anyone help me, please i have a single core Pentium D 2.8ghz processor (incredibly out of date) and im so sick of how slow it i want to try over clocking but i cant find any articles on my processor. some help would be appreciated

  • First teh Pentiuem D is a Duel Core, the Cellaron D is a single, and you need info on you mtherboard, but spend some money on a modren processor, Netburst was slow to begain with.

  • What he said about overclocking is true, but there is more to it. I overclocked my core i7 920 from 2.66ghz to 4.0ghz. but it is stable, I did 3 prime 95 tests overnight and they all passed.

  • that was great explaining thanks man!!

  • just to add, running a higher clock by itself will not necessarily cause higher temperatures and hardware failure. By running a higher clock it will become less stable and it will blue screen and crash, because the motherboard shuts itself off to prevent anything bad. The voltage that you add to keep it stable will make it hotter and reduce longevity. Usually you have a good amount of headroom however so you are not going to damage anything if you aren't crazy.

  • thank you!

  • I think that's a tix clock in the background.

  • Thank you for this very informative video

  • i wonder. i could not stop looking at it.

  • its a binary clock.

  • so if i over clock it, can i prevent it from frying by opening the tower case and putting like 2 fans outside pointed inside to the chips and motherboard? like i own 5 fans and there all pretty good so please reply sorry to sound like a dumb ass but ive never heard of this until watching this vid and i realy wana do it so i can run gta 4 better

  • Extra fans and air flow will help if you overclocked properly. If you haven't done it before please do yourself and favor and research it. If you overclock a processor or graphics card too high you'll make them unstable and even break them.

  • dammit the vid wont load

  • how to check my fan specs?

  • everest ultimate, download then search for keygen

  • I've been wondering what overclocking what overclocking is!

this vid got me to subscribe to you, dude!

  • I been wondering what overclocking was for a while good break down and explanation everything makes sense know. Good vid ill be subscribing.

  • thanks for this explanation. helped alot. never knew what it was and now i do. =]

  • overclocking is also a sexual position

  • awesome im gonna try !

  • damn it you got 9 thumbs downs and marked as spam!

  • THATS AWSOME , RIGHT ?

  • Thabks dude! That helped a lot! I Subed Ya!

  • you can;t overclock a fucking laptop. dumbass

  • yea u can , if the laptop is your mom :D

  • u can but its not recommended its "possible" but you shouldnt do it unless you know what your doing.

  • thx dude..

  • BLEEAACCHHH!! <333

  • I have a Celeron D, is there anyway i can change it? i have a Dell Demension B110

  • dam dude lol perhaps upgrade to something better lol

  • zaraki kenpachi haha!

  • speaking of overclocking... there's a website called GMABooster where you can download a free program which will help you overclock your compuer- it's sweet.

  • wow a celeron you have to be kidding me how aobut in QX9770 intel core i7 920 i7 975

  • Stupid eh? Well you spelt Stupid wrong and question or something wrong

  • DUDE why would some ask about overclocking unless you got a low end gamers rig-highend entsaesd rig/high end gamers rig you don't have to even think about overcloking unless you want to fry,you mobo, CPU,memory, GPU

  • -_o Im not that into computers and you called him a stupied asshole i was just replying to that

  • yeaa you ended question with an ING...your a dumbass

  • Overclocking has become a competition in some parts of the world.

If you see some clips they've got their systems running so fast they have to literally pour liquid Nitrogen into it so it doesn't crash.

  • doesnt explode

  • Components will fry and crash the Computer long before it gets hot enough to explode.

  • @animekid200 also liquid helium which is even colder

  • Very god explanation!!!

  • TYPO

    dont reply im bored.

  • Overclocking is something you cant do on a mac :D

  • PLEASE!!!

  • Overclocking a mac is quite fun... All down to the firmware... I remember clocking a 433mhz powerpc chip to I think it was 1.6 or 1.9ghz. Made my old powermac last that little bit longer.

  • you need to make a video only saying PLEASE lol. PLEASE

  • You started making this video at 8:22 didn't you :D

  • I think you can see a breadcrumb on his shirt
