  • That Phil is one BAAAAAD actor !!

  • Wow, such a blast from the past.

  • Excellent !! This was a very enjoyable daytime TV series !

  • I've always thought the judge seemed a little old to be the father of the kids that he waves goodbye to at the beginning...................would think those were his grandkids!

  • @lurch321 - They were actually supposed to be his neighbor's kids.

  • Anyone remember the episode where a kid had an "od" in the courtroom or something like that...I cant for the life of me what episode that was...

  • He scratches his nuts when he comes out of the house, I remember that part of the show when I was a child.

  • Used to watch this all the time when I was little and I remember an episode where the judge figures out that the young man on trial is actually crazy and murdered a woman he was working for doing lawn work or something anyone else remember this episode??

  • Hiw many seasons did this show run? I remember this show vividly along with Divorce Court. Was Judge William Keene an actor as well? Doubt he's still living. Ah memories!

  • @jokerswildfan1972 William B. Keene was a real judge. In fact, he was the original judge in the Charles Manson trial.

  • @jokerswildfan1972 I read in one of the videos posted that Bob Shields died in 1997.

  • I used to love watching this series.

  • One episode of this show I remember was about this teenager or he might've been an adult but he thought like a child I think, I think he had Autism or something like that, his name was Walley, When he got called to the stand, after he got questioned he got so scared he was threatning to beat up everybody including the judge but the judge didn't hold that against him at least I don't think he did. Anybody know what episode I'm talking about? or if somebody has that one could you post it?

  • summer of 89. i watched it all summer.

  • LOVED this show! Some of the cast members of the Canadian show Degrassi starred on this!

  • OMG!!!!! I watched this show all the time when I was a kid!! It was so corny and bad, but it was great at the same time!!! I love 80's TV!!

  • Does anyone remember the one episode when a Teenage Punk held up the Entire Courtroom with a gun?

  • I remember this show! I watched it on KDSM Channel 17 (FOX)

  • Does anyone else think this guy sounds like Ronald Reagan?

  • OMFG! Used to watch this up here in Canada.... I remember the one episode in which one kid wants to donate his eyes to some blind chick? Or something.. Its been sooooo long.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • Oops, disregard my first comment = P

  • Can anyone post the opening? I remember liking the music as a little kid

  • same here. the case titled "Just Leave Me Alone" seemed tyo have the longest version of the closing theme (at least that I know of)

  • Notice how at 0:54 he is adjusting his necktie before the mirror. In an earlier opening (viewable elsewhere on YouTube) that scene's not present, but they do have his wife handing him his briefcase and kissing him goodbye.

I have wondered why that scene was replaced. Perceived gender inequality? (read: not politically correct to have wifey seeing hubby off for the day?)

The missus can still be seen waving from the porch in this version, tho.

  • Wow I totally forgot about this show, for some reason I had this mashed up with the old opening for the People's Court. I used to think it was Wapner who would get in his car and go to work! lol!

  • I love when he waves to the kids. Thanks much!

  • Do you have the entire episode?

  • No, I'm afraid not. I have another complete episode though. Think I've run across one anyway.

  • Do you have another complete episode? If so, I would be glad to see it.

  • And before it was syndicated, it was a locally produced drama out of WBNS-TV in Columbus, OH

  • I can't believe 10TV produced this show

  • This show was the only court show to be played entirely by actor well not really the 80's version of divorce court was actors as well

  • This was the only show to ever have an ACTOR play the judge. All the other shows, had real judges (though Koch on the People's Court was only a mayor, and he had no judicial experience at the time).

  • Superior Court was another '80s court show that had an actor play a judge.

Case of that show, the actor was the late Raymond St. Jacques who played Judge Clayton C. Thomas from 1988-90.

The earlier seasons of Superior Court had people that were actually real judges, in the case of William D. Burns in S1 of that show.

  • So, this wasn't really a court show. It was a drama. Why didn't they have any big stars?

  • Probably too low-budget lol.

Haven't seen this in about 20 years, but I completely remember him driving to work (although I thought he had a different car lol). I also remember one case ending with a mother and daughter talking about going to a cookout or picnic or something. Weird.

  • I remember this show. Thanks for posting the opening. It used to air on USA when I was little.

  • Well it was still a good show. It ran from 1986 to 1993.

  • Jeez, I forgot how lame this show was...
