  • This is such a riot. I am actually a Diamond level at to major hotel chains. The status gets you art way, but being friendly and respectful gets you even more. The people that work at the current hotel I stay are great people.

  • Guest- "I am a lifetime platinum and I am guarenteed a suit with no additional charge"

Me- "Actually I show that you're silver and you need 30 more nights to renew your status"

  • if it was just fiction... ;-)

But nevertheless, I'm loving this job!

  • People who book rooms for next-to-nothing on Hotwire and Priceline think they should get the same type of treatment. Whatever happened to YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR??????

  • I've got your diamond rewards RIGHT HERE!!! I've been in the hotel business too long, and thank goodness I'm getting out of it soon!

  • OMFG I deal with this every single Notre Dame football game. My hotel is 3 miles from Notre Dame and guests always try to check in and act like this. UGH

  • @lylyeoh ahahahaha "but I'm a rusty old nail member" good stuff

  • I feel liberated someone out there understands what it's like to work as a front desk agent. I'd rather do yard work during a Las Vegas summer than put up with people's shit all day long again. I've never seen so many adults act like little children... I've never worked as a server, I can only imagine what that's like.

  • Anything/Anytime = Whatever/Whenever... I'm a W Hotel employee and i found this HILARIOUS!!!!!

  • facebook.com/groups/Hotelworkers/

  • "Don't you hold rooms for Diamond members?" Sorry, my crystal ball is out of order. I didn't foresee us needing to set one aside for you, so we sold it to make as much money as we could...idiot.

Another booked a smoking room, and when she checked in, said she wanted nonsmoking. When I asked her if she had booked the smoking room, she told me yes, because that's all that was showing on the website. God people are stupid...

  • Just had to watch this after a IHG Platinum member (checking out at 5 p.m.) started b****ing us out for getting a half day charge during our busiest week of the year. And yes, he was in a suite. Made us all feel better, as he at least didn't have a giraffe.

  • Hella funny, its sad but true, people who arent in the hospitality industry have no idea... Smh

  • THIS IS FREAKIN AWESOME. RIGHT ON POINT

  • ROTFLMAO!!!

  • yep! exactly what its like!!! i wish the diamond members out there would watch this...

  • Ya'll, I work at a fancy hotel downtown and even though our diamond guests are called "platinum members," this is EXACTLY the same kind of stuff I have to deal with on a daily basis. Like, literally, line for line, I have had similar conversations with platinum members who think their shit doesn't stink. Whoever wrote the dialogue for this has clearly worked in the hospitality industry! Bravo!

  • LOL! This is just like this blog I found, servicesavvy.blogspot.com

  • If I could actually be that agent for 1 day it would buy me some more time in this business LMAOOO I LUV THIS!!!!

  • Can I "like" this more than once? If so, I'll like it a milliion times!!! Those not in hospitality have NO idea how true this is...

  • Just got off from the longest phone call I've ever had since working at a hotel. & When speaking to this lady, this is all I could think about. :/ lol

  • I work in a hotel, I showed this to people in my office, they love it... Tooooo true! Thank you for making it.

  • People want what they want when they want it like they are king!!! Everybody is entitled to fair treatment no matter what kind of member you are. I wouldn't kiss his behind, he either go to another hotel or sleep on the floor of the lobby!!!

  • but im a diamond guest... can you wash my azz!!!

  • "Anything anytime" .. oh boy o boy do I recognize where that's parodied from! Can't think how many times I said, "Yes, sir, as long as it's not illegal, immoral, or just plain wrong. Yes sir. I know that, sir, but that's illegal, sir. No, sir, I cannot order you a prostitute .."

  • A more accurate video than this has seldom been made.

  • Hahaha

    Everyday

  • 2"25 "I just want you out of my face!" LMAO

  • well, im an A+ for an airline, and they have special lines at the airport to check in. If you dont go yelling at everyone that your A+ they tell you to get out of the line or just ignore you. Trust me, there are shitty employees out there just as some guests are assholes.

  • If you are a hotelier and works for a hotel chain with loyalty based program you would understand and appreciate this vid. thumbs up!

  • around 3:20 ,i hated when people say that, "why do i need a credit card and a photo ID when im platinum or gold?" DUH, how da fuk do i know if this reservation belong to you! great video btw..this is wut i called "the human truth"

  • @adamlonely ... HAHAHAA ... Obviously You are A Starwood associate.

  • @tkledin jackpot! :D i guess you figured it out when i said *human truth* lol

  • what's an HHonors favorite wine...I'm A Diamond....I've had them tell me to wake someone up at 3:30am and have them vacate the room so they could have it! AND THEY WERE SERIOUS!!!!

  • @vbsurfer1

    People are so effing crazy.

  • I love this!!

  • Love it... 3:20min... Unemployment comment....

  • I love u for making this video.

  • this video is me.... all day long at the resort with these fucking assholes

  • @sprinkleboobs you and be both!!! And what I hate the most is that these people get their "hard earned points" by staying in city business hotels that their company is paying for and come to resorts like mine to spend it claiming they are "valued customers of the company". And they spent almost nothing! I've had someone staying in the resort for a whole month paying for 3 (!) rooms with points and spending a total of 1500€ in extras when our average daily rate is 400€!!! Valued guests my ass!

  • @athadj Those people stay in your chain's city hotels BECAUSE of resorts like yours. In other words, you work at the "carrot" that business travelers chase after. If anything, they're paying for their reward stay by keeping their business at your chain, and your chain builds out properties like yours so they can enjoy the benefits, relax, and remember why they stay at that chain the other 100 nights a year they're away from their family.

  • I loooooovvvveeeee this!!!! Dont we wish we could say this stuff? lol

  • diamond members are one of my main reasons for loving WINE.

  • "Good Evening Mr. Diamond Guest. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate your request for a suite upgrade because another Diamond guest has already checked in before you, and this gentleman insisted that we downgrade you in order to accommodate his complimentary upgrade request. We also are unable to offer the requested high floor, near elevator, Strip view, away from ice machine, no connecting door, non smoking, but we do have a wonderful Deluxe room ready and available on the third floor."

  • I work in a 4 diamond hotel resort. and this is SOO accurate its scary.

  • @jameser5487 Four? Hey, I work at a 3 star and these fat flucks expect this and it's not real diamonds, it's the welfare rats, prostitutes and dare I say it spoiled brat teachers who have learned how to work the system. How long will these hotels be able to sustain these losses in a failing economy at the expense of Phenomenal employees?

  • Damn looks like me and Blinky gotta go somewhere else :(

  • been working in reservations for about 3.5 yrs and am so glad I know how to bite my tongue. I would've been fired a long time ago if I had told these fools what we all know they really need to hear.

  • oh my god, the BIGGEST pet peeve of mine is when a rewards member guest comes to the desk with a complaint and when they do not get what they want, they give you the speech on how they are such member level and "stay 1,000 nights a year in your hotels and travel all the time." When they give me this speech, I just want to punch them and say I dont care! It doesn't matter if you are a Diamond member, this is the same answer you are going to get from me, my manager, and from corporate, deal w/ it!

  • I love when they throw the diamond card on the counter, I pull up the profile, and it's either inactive or back to silver. lol.

  • @GlassOfWaterWithIce FAIL LMAO

  • where is concierge level ? is internet free

  • I deal with this pretty much everyday. It's pretty frustrating at the time but in retrospect, it's pretty amusing.

  • This was helpful~

  • This just happened last night to my co worker. A diamond level guest checked in using only cash and insisted on not putting down the damage deposit because he's a diamond member.

  • OMG.Fucking.Halerious!!

  • "Is the wiffy free?"

  • @idlewild only for diamond guests

  • haha I do the same thing, or I just look at them like I don't know why they just told me their last name. (even though I do of course)

  • omg thisis so tru .. i luv it ..lmao

  • it's all about the wee-fee!

  • I use to be the Loyalty Ambassador an Omni Hotel in Texas and dealt with the Select Guests (our version on 'diamond guests') and all levels, even gold who ppl could sign up before they came to the hotel demanded upgrades when they've never stayed with us before.

  • I work at a front desk at Hilton and this is EXACTLY how Diamond members are!!!!! SUPER LIKE!!!

  • Sick of "Im a Diamond gst"! Always this script upon check in. I'll learn from this situation to deal with all fucking stupid gsts!

  • They book through priceline then demand they get points for the stay. Then email their complaint to the CEO and/or rewards center that the agent checking them in was 'rude'.

  • "Do you know how many nights i stay at Hilton a year?!?!?! I want a 1400 sq ft villa for the $79.00 pre night corporate rate."

  • OMG this just happened to me again the other day all over a stupid desk. the guest wanted an upgrade because the room they reserved only had a table, not a desk, and they expected me to downgrade someone when we were sold out all so they could have a desk. They were yelling at me. They're lucky I was working.

  • I work in Minneapolis....this happens all the freaking time. Part of the reason why I changed departments to accounting. Now they just get to argue with me after the fact on the phone.

  • everyday the same thing....

  • absolutely happnes everytime at St. Regis!!! hahaha!!! these guests are a pain!!!

  • I'LL BE CALLING CORPORATE.

  • I work at a Las Vegas strip hotel/casino and I hear this every single day!!!

  • DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM!? :-p

  • Same thing happens in the airline industry too ... LOL

  • @cookiemookie62 It happens in EVERY business that deals with the general public. It is has NOTHING to do with being travel related.

  • amacing cool smileeee :-)

  • This is an animated version of my work nights... EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT.

  • Really funny and completely accurate!!

  • is worse at the reservation department of the Hotels !!!!!! this what happens in the hotels and on the phones

  • Hahah I deal with this with platinums haha great!

  • @antiprettygrl13 Even Gold Members too

  • Man have I delt with this type of crap Dear Disney and Nick hotel guest kiss my ass lmao

  • UNBELIEVABLE how accurate this is - LOL i could not have laughed harder!

  • The life I live!!! Those of us that are in this industry need help lol

  • not just vegas, my friend, houston feels the pain too. and these people always ask for the supervisor. they are everything that is wrong with loyalty programs. and it doesn't make anyone anymore loyal than anyone else. they are always members of five different programs, and stay where ever they feel like it, ignoring the "rewards".

  • FANTASTICLY REAL! This sounds like every day at the Marriott I work at.

These so-called Platinum / Diamond members always pull this kinda shit.

Every hotel in the world should have this vid. on a loop being played in the lobby.

    Thanx for posting!!

  • Welcome to the past 12 years of my life.

  • has anyone read up about their rewards programs? I read the binder about our rewards program and totally get why people act this way. In our rewards program they are guarenteed 48 hour availability and they think it means that theres always going to be a room for them. Also in our key packets for elites it basically says we cater to them.

  • i DEAL WiTH THiS ALL THE TiME AT WORK! iDiOTS i TELL YOU

  • engineer in grad school working in a hotel frequented by "diamond guests"....this is the STORY of my life every time I am at work.

  • not because you have reached the highest level of membership in hotel loyalty program you already own the hotel! damn stupid guests like this are everywhere. wake up dude you gotta have issues to resolve!!!

  • I love you, Diamond guest

  • What do you mean I can't Check in at 7am? Why whould I pay for the night before? I am a Blue Member and should be guaranteed early check in. I also want a 9pm check out since my flight is not untill midnight. Umm, Duh. Moron!

  • I think I can name this diamond guest's name........

  • I am a diamond guest

  • you dun happen to be working in a Hilton chain by any chance right? LOL!!!!!! typical dia..mond gst. sheesh

  • We all laugh so hard, but the sad truth is this is REALITY.... so SAD. (still laughing)

  • Sadly, this has become more frequent. People have just become ridiculous and have major entitlement issues. I often find myself talking with Diamond Members that do not seem to understand that the nicer you are, the more we will like you and want to give you all the complimentary goodies. Sometimes I think, "what would happen to these people if something REAL happened in their lives?" Oh well, part of the hospitality game I guess.

  • As a fellow front desk agent, i get guys like these everyday..especially in a five star hotel..people who think they can have anything they want just because they are a hotel member

  • I only work at a 3 and a half star small boutique hotel so nobody has ever demanded a helicopter pad or accomodations for a Giraffe with me at the front desk. Sadly, those are the only two guest comments in this skit that I don't have to deal with on a daily basis. I'd love to create and post my own video but I am currently busy assisting our bellmen storing the bags of the bowling team who have just arrived and were prommised free porterage.

  • Ez nagyon király !! Szállodásoknak alap. 7 évig dolgoztam recepciósként Bp-i szállodákban, hasonló beszélgetéseket szinte minden hónapban lefolytattam hasonló emberekkel :)

  • OMG this is sooo funny.....and sooo true....I work for a Hotel and we get douche bag guests like this everyday WOOWWW

  • i dislike it cuz i am a diamond guest! hahha

  • This is completely true! I have worked in hospitality Aka hotels for seven years and people are fucking dopes!

  • Zuahahhahahahahaha. I would love to ask them to get out of my face.Whole clip was damn good and realistic.

  • Omg I hate when ppl walk up to me and say their lastname and im platinum. My first response is "ok are you checking in?"... Rewards members are some of the worst.

  • @mscoy Warking lighting silver...... :)

  • @mscoy even worse... when you ask their last name and they just hand you their credit card.

Yes, because Smith is SUCH a difficult last name, I wouldn't understand you, OR be able to spell it.

    Great communication skills Sir.

  • one star people by greg warren! is GREAT

  • OMG - this is the BEST thing I have seen on youtube! this video should be playing at the front desk at every hotel in the world! Can you please make one about compensation - working at a hotel i swear can make you lose faith in the entire human race.

  • we had hockey players who threw a huge fit because we wouldn't give them a 4:00/4:30 check out because we were sold out. They literally told me "if you can't accomodate us we'll go somewhere else" like it really bugged me.

  • i have to agree eith mondo9101 Whoever did this, Thank you so much. it couldn't be more accurate!!!!

  • To whoever did this Thank you!!!!!!!! So true!

  • Absolutely love this! Entirely accurate as my 5 years working Front Desk. You just wanna reach across the desk and strangle the Customer. . but no! Wait! The Customer is always right. . They don't pay us enough for this shit Lmao

  • Amazing... this is oh-so-true...! :'-)

  • This happens in my hotel all the time. It's worst when they start screaming to associates because they are Platinum and think they diserve the world.

  • Everyday reality no matter what job position you may have. Hilarious!!!

  • Sooooo true!!!

  • Reminiscent of a petulent child in a candy store.....favorite line!!!

  • we do this all the time at the hotel. During our morning meetings we always go "but I'm a diamond guest"

  • I keep watching this and I just can't stop.....I have been trying to explain the madness that I have to go through each and everyday....This is a must for all training videos... I love it!!!

  • you forgot to mention that he's trying to check in at 10am and is pissed that a room isn't available even though check in isn't until 3pm...and he also wants something for free because of this as well...

  • @achildbyfire I had a guy come in to check in at 11, but he wasn't a jerk but he said "I thought I'd try to check in now because I had to come early for my client and sometimes they let platinum members check in early" and this is all that ran through my head "but I'm a diamond guest" and our checkout isn't until noon lol

  • lol every Hilton employee watched this and i worked for OnQ, id hear these convos while id be on hold haha

  • lol every Hilton employee watched this

  • Were i work is the same just with "IM A PLATINUM MEMBER" I just loved this video.... everyday its the same here, hilarious!

  • The hotels are also to blame. They created and marketed this "Diamond Member" stuff. If they had instead created stuff like "Rusty Old Nail Member" and marketed things differently the members wouldn't behave like this... But their hotels might not be as full ;).

  • This is so true

  • this is so true its a daily experience for any one working as a hotelier all over the world.i hope this reaches out to all business or individual travelers that normally stays in a hotel.

  • Awesome!!! This is so true!!!

  • HAHAHA X'D I worked for Customer Care before.

  • I work for customer care at a large hotel chain. This is the kind of stuff I hear 60 times a day. They all want something free but they won't pay for it

  • Its even more fun to say that the hotel you HAVE reserved is NOT available...sorry sold out. Where is the manager on duty? : I am the Manager on duty.

  • That is awesome!

  • OMG! OMGOMGOMG!!! this is so darn true!!! it happens all the time!! why do people think everything can be free?

  • Nailed it.

  • Love this! I've actually had a member ask me about a helicopter pad because he didn't want to take the bus.

  • This is the funniest thing EVER!! OMG, all of my fellow hotel workers knows this scenario oh too well! The 2nd worse is when people call from 2 states over and ask you directions to the hotel from their house!! Do they think we are a damn walking MapQuest? - "ma'am I have no idea how to get here from Alaska-I'm in Atlanta!!! And NO just because you are a "diamond member" does not mean you get a reduced rate! I am a gold rewards member at GNC, yet I do not walk in and ask for free vitamins! I pay

  • @bcdshorty love it! I work for a certain mouse. We had a guest who called from Miami to complain she couldn't use her dining plan?

  • This video is too funny

  • The video and the comments lol, so true, nice to know I'm not the only one going through this hell lol

  • I hope every diamond member sees this so they see how ridiculous they are!!

  • This is flippn hilarious...wish I could've said this to my guests when I was at the Front Desk that is why I had to leave or I would have lost it eventually!!

  • I have had this exact conversation so many times...this is hilarious

  • So true

  • Welcome to my private hell

  • My life condensed in 4:45 min, fucking brilliant!

  • We let these MotherEffers get away with this crap and harras every front dest agent!!!

  • hey diamond guest.....FUCK YOU!!!!!!!!

  • HAHAHAHAH!!! That is great!!!

  • This happens once a week -__- haha

  • "you sir, are a d-bag" LOL

  • OMG Somuch win. Somuch.

  • lol, same people came to Mt Rainier all the time. People really do want to kick other people out of their rooms. I wonder if it is just American tourists who are such douches.

  • amazing... you just displayed the conversation i've been having for the past 4yrs of my career here in vegas

  • Dear God, I think I've met this guy!

  • I cannot laugh any harder ... this absolutely happens ever minute in the hotel industry in Las Vegas...please make one for bellhops

  • @LEAHLV Happens in the hotel industry EVERYwhere.
