As for Ellen representing the lion, she is a lion expert. But Dave got the lion on lion vs. nile crocodile and that made sense to me.

i really think that 900lbs for a siberian is an exaggeration. the liger video on youtube has a liger that weighs 900lbs and that's bigger than any tiger i've ever seen, or lion too. Also, the siberian tiger has extra fat since its environment is so cold, and that adds to the weight and isn't really an advantage.

Where are you getting your statistics from? I think the tiger has a stronger bite if it is bigger than the lion, but not dramatically as you claim. I'm guessing the hyena beats then both. It's whoever gets to the jugular vein (very vulnerable) first, not who's got the hardest bite.

The siberian tiger can weigh up to 900 pounds and has a bite force of 1076 lbs psi. a lions is only 691 lbs psi. a tiger could kill a lion any day. and plus tigers only weigh up to 300 to 500 lbs. the lions snout is longer and narower like a dobermans head. and the tigers head is like a st. bernards head. and tigers could kill a lion at any time.

i really think that 900lbs for a siberian is an exaggeration. the liger video on youtube has a liger that weighs 900lbs and that's bigger than any tiger i've ever seen, or lion too. Also, the siberian tiger has extra fat since its environment is so cold, and that adds to the weight and isn't really an advantage.

I can see lion fans everywhere on tigers vids, and most people watch this lion vs. tiger vids are western people, I believe lion fans are far more than tiger fans because it's very normal that western love lion king more than asia tigers

well that's debateable whether they are or not.
so? even if asians aren't arguing the point it's quite obvious that most would back the tiger if it came down to it.
so don't condemn the western world just because many prefer the lion, if you actually knew the western world you'd know that it's quite a mixed opinion.

even if that were true do you think tiger fans are any different just because they like the tiger? all you keep doing is commenting on an issue which you don't have any idea about, and if you do you're only being undeniably bias towards your favourite animal.
you keep saying this, but where is your evidence to the roman arenas? they were unrecorded, and there are just as many sources saying that the barbary lion was victorius... the most recent actual recorded fights were the korean pits.

I think your problem is that you believe lions own tigers, and u are not able to accept tigers also own lions.
In fact, the information online by far, we cant say any of these big cats can totally dominate the other side.
So I just say something I know, if you cant accept anything opposite to your lion king concepts, then that's your problem, not mine.
By the way, u commenting all the time, even in big cat rescue, u bring on lion king issue, so what is that?

i believe that out of 100 fights the lion would win 80, and it's based on facts, and historical evidence, there is no video evidence or historical evidence to support any of you tiger fans claims.

Barbary lion (or Atlas Lion, chrachterized with a black mane could cover thorax) was THE king of all. Romains use it in fights against gladiators and against tigers. He is ALWAYs Win Tigers he is bigger than the african lion and as bigger as bengal Tiger but taller. And in general Lion is well equipped to fight and kill not to hunt. It not a matter of shape or weight, Buffalo and even zebra might weight more than lion but at the end..

Throat bite is for killing prey animals. While fighting within the same race or in interracial fight tigers and lions use their claws to injure each other until one of them run away or or die from excessive bleeding.

actually a tiger is stronger than a lion in biting!!1 a lion's bite force can go up to 650-700 pounds, but a tiger's bite force can go up to 1,000-1,175 pounds!! so if a tiger bit a lion very hard, the lion is well umm how do i say it?! ....... Owned!!!

Where are you getting your statistics from? I think the tiger has a stronger bite if it is bigger than the lion, but not dramatically as you claim. I'm guessing the hyena beats then both. It's whoever gets to the jugular vein (very vulnerable) first, not who's got the hardest bite.

i don't know what s the big deal about this whole thing lion vs tiger! these are two great big cats and they should both b protected by law from hunters and people who lock them in cages put them together to fight for entertament! just leave them alone! plus they live in different envierment-tigers in the jungle and lions in the savanah!
