Jaguar was one of the last car companies that retained a bit of the classic British styling that was once THE standard for luxury cars. Up until now, the XJ still kept so many of the best qualities.

Now it might as well be some big bubble, American or Japanese car. I'm not against change and I'm sure its a lovely car to drive, just don't call it a freakin "XJ". Is nothing sacred anymore.?It'll look great parked in front of Old Navy/Starbucks/Ulta 3

I see your point. I have seen pics of the new XJ and it's HOT as HELL, BUT in reality, it should be the new XF not XJ. It has some of the concept XF features that I wish they would have carried over into the production XF.

I can't get over the old Jaguar XJ look I mean, It's one of my favorite looking cars but I have to say this looks good. At least there's an XJ for the younger customers and not just exclusive for the middle aged businessman. If this will turn out good, the looks might grow on me and soon begin to like the new XJ like how I liked the XF. The last thing that they should replace is the X-type. A good car but it needs a bit of modernization.

exactly. look at the new bimmer 7. copied right off of an LS. if this jaguar XJ gets looks grounded similarly to the XF, it will be a success. im 15 and i hate bmw and benz, even if they are fast, i dont care. luxury is the best thing you can get in a car, which is why my parents only drive Lexus, even though my mom likes Jag. sure, merc and bmw are pricy and look elegant, but they lack luxury and true love.

No soul, you say. And yet the XF has received many accolades, the XK is a highly praised grand tourer, and if you've actually read reviews of Jaguars you would know that they are not soulless appliances. It's funny that you can tell exactly what the XJ will look like from a bird's eye view.

xj's are known to be big luxurious classy and very high-tech-modern that is hidden behind a lot of classic wood and leather to keep the tradition/

however this one looks smaller and also its starting to look from the top like a honda hybrid i really hope that jaguar will keep its tradition in leaving the xj the same without any dramatic changes like this one but if they do the better pulloff a very nice design that suites a JAGUAR

They're going to push the base price of the new one WAAAY upmarket. Currently $64K, the new version will START in the high 80's. I think they're making a huge mistake doing that.
