  • did they include the milionare surtax in this bill too? anyone knows?

  • "Neither a borrower nor a lender be"

  • Just to clarify, this was taken from the Wall Street Journal's OPINION section. That is exactly what this is, an OPINION. You need to clarify that in the future cenk. I read the wall street all the time and I never bother with the opinion section ever. I want facts and reporting, not random people's thoughts from unknown editors or authors I don't even know!

  • @395235 He did say that the Wall Street Journal stated this in their editorial pages.... So yes he did mention that when the WSJ speaks in their editorials they are toeing the Republican line.

  • @395235 Yes, but everything the Wall Street Journal writes is an opinion, regardless.

  • I like "Circular Firing Squad" as a name for something like an album :P

  • lol william wallace for the rich

  • To that ad I just saw before the TYT video...

DON'T USE SANTA CLAUSE IN YOUR FUCKING SMEAR CAMPAIGNS YOU SENSELESS PIECE OF SHIT POLITICAL FUCKS!!!

    Oh god...my eyes are bleeding...

  • If i had a terminal condition, i would go on a mission to kill every last one of these cunts for the damage they have done.

  • I am for low taxes, I am for raising taxes. Values you can believe in.

  • I have no idea why the Republicans pushed for the oil pipeline approval when Nebraska can still technically veto the project if the state governor and legislature don't approve of it at this time due to concern over the route.

  • Why does the GOP never care for the air we breath, the land, our national parks, our soil, our oceans , lakes , and our whole human race?

  • Dirty oil to America??? what the fuck is Cenk talking about. How do you think his fat ass got to the TYT studio?? Walking? What does he think puts plains in the air to fly his fat ass from coast to coast? What does he think powers every fishing and cargo ship on lakes and oceans. And I thought social security wasn't a tax it was more an individual retirement account not a tax driven ponzi scheme. Is social security really something we wish to de fund.

  • @MlysticGetaway2020 Tar sands, do your research.

  • The house plan included pee tests and you had to show a high school diploma just to collect your unemployment check that you and your employer paid insurance for. They also included a cut from 99 weeks to 59 weeks !

The GOP are at war with the poor and working class.

  • Isn't it now about whether to do a 1 year extension vs. 2 months? Most of it is pretty much the same-- payroll tax cuts to the middle class, tax cuts to the rich, pipeline is included. It's just politics now.

  • @moonjp 1yr vs 2mo was never the issue. That's just something that Boner pull out of his ass as an excuse for not putting it up for a vote.

  • What the fuck is wrong with the media in that nobody is saying why the democrats don't want to do the one year deal? Its because it has so many other attachments like that bullshit pipeline so the Koch brothers can ruin our environment, refine the sludge in Texas and then sell it all to China. What do we get a few thousand temporary jobs and poison ground water.

  • @baxtar1963 There is already six hundred thousand miles of pipeline in the U S alone. What do you think this country runs on? every airplane, every fishing and cargo ship, every plastic product you use, every construction vehicle every farm vehicle. If you really think this pipeline will only create a "few temporary jobs" as well as provide a product we need to survive as we do in the 21st century you are as ignorant uninformed as your comment makes you sound

  • circular firing squad hahaha, thats epic :)

  • Can someone rate each one of these media sources for me? (on how well they represent the people with honest factual reporting)

    TheNation

    Huffington Post

    New York Times

    Bloomberg News

    MSNBC

  • getting advice about money from Wall St. is like getting advice on comedy from Dane Cook.

  • Bipartisan support in Congress = prepare to get fucked.

  • ron paul is the best out of all of them

  • Obama signed in indefinite detentions on American citizens after saying he would veto it. To me that makes him and everyone else who voted in favor of it an enemy of the American people. Obama is just playing politics -- he is no friend or president of mine.

  • @AssRapingHorseCock Do you feel the same about Bush Jr and anyone who voted for him?

  • @inademv Pretty much, yeah.

  • @AssRapingHorseCock Yeah you just covered pretty much everyone. Good job there, guy.

  • @inademv I don't exactly like people in general very much.

  • @AssRapingHorseCock A politician playing politics?

Wow I really never saw this coming assrapinghorsecock lol

  • @TOTCD There's playing politics, and then there's being a duplicitous, treasonous cunt. There's nothing about indefinitely detaining American citizens that is merely "playing politics."

  • @AssRapingHorseCock Well good luck with Ron Paul.

    Or whoever you'll support now.

  • @TOTCD Not a Ron Paul fan either. Give me a real progressive.

  • @AssRapingHorseCock Elizabeth Warren?

  • @AssRapingHorseCock Everything you say about Obama is accurate, but the senate passed the NDAA with 86-13, well over the amount needed to bypass a presidential veto. He essentially would have been unable to stop it.

  • @spedrick18

Well also to be fair, it's worded in such a fashion that lets the courts decide whether or not an american citizen can be indeffinitelly detentioned. Also, most people don't seem to be aware that the president has had this power since shortly after 9/11, since then it's been used twice on American citizens.

  • I liked Ron, until we all found out he is just another GOP racist. Too bad, as his other stuff was just fine. But none of us could ever vote for a racist. It's too 1900's.

  • @coltor9 He's not a racist, if you checked any of his policies they help minorities more than anyone else. In particular the war on drugs that locks up mostly blacks that Ron Paul would release for non violent drug offenses. Do some homework and stay away from the media hype. The fact that every GOP source is hating on Ron Paul proves he's not the same type of GOP. No more Muslim wars, no more war on drugs, no more b.s. under Paul.

  • The house republicans just now caved on it

See Obama, when you fight you sometimes win.

  • Why would any Republican congressman think 20 or 40 dollars in a working man's paycheck make any difference, when they don't know what work is.

  • William Wallace for the rich, lol.

  • Getting adice from the Wall Street Journal about payroll tax cuts is like getting advice about how to improve race relations between whites and blacks from a KKK member.

  • woooooo on so many levels

  • That's nice but after Obama passed the NDAA I'll never be able to have any respect for him.

  • Among the list of jobs that would be created by Keystone pipeline: 51 dancers and choreographers, 138 dentists, 176 dental hygienists, 100 librarians, 510 bread bakers, 448 clergy, 154 stenographers, 865 hairdressers, 136 manicurists, 110 shampooers, 65 farmers, and (our favorite) 1,714 bartenders.

  • @HyperMediaNews Fuck the Keystone pipeline. Canadian oil should be refined in Canada, so OUR oil makes the jobs and profits for US, not for Texas. FUCK. TEXAS.

  • True. We all need to vote all the GOP bums out, this should scare the Dems into representing us better and start raising some taxes on the 1% and the freeloading so called job creators like the Walmart owners who have billions but pay 48% of their employees so low they get food stamps that we pay for!

  • Obama, with a majority of Dems in the House and a super majority in the Senate, in 2012, looks like the only choice for voters unless you are a millionaire

  • End the reich wing, this means the false dem obama too. One good deed does make up for 3 years of treason.

Only Americans for America should ever be in gov. Being a reich winger should be illegal carring the death penalty.

  • @googlegas dude we get it shut the fuck up already. Damn man

  • Anyone drawing a payroll check has no business being a republican!

  • 0:56 Cenk Tebow.

  • I'm glad it didn't pass. Why would we want to pollute more?

  • @soiierre I think what happened was the Senate bill's compromise was to require Obama to "make a decision" fast, whereas, what the House Republicans want to do is renegotiate that the pipeline "must be allowed" -- this is what a House Republican said last night on NPR -- even though they claim it is because they want the tax extension to be for a year. So you see, the Senate version would be the better of the two. And the House Repubs are trying to fool everyone again through misdirection.

  • I wonder how many people my age (20 years old) look at this and get some pleasure out of seeing the system imploding on itself. I don't think there is much patriotism in the American youth any more. We grew up with a system in decay, & we're ready for it to collapse so we can pick up the pieces and rebuild it in OUR image instead of the same establishment we've had for over 200 years.

  • @Theroha 2012 my friend 2012...many believe it means the end of the world but i think it means the end of an era and a beginning of a new one...a new world order and a NEW UNITED STATES OF AMERICA...in other words kick congress out and put smarter people who actually care about amerca in

  • @1Life4Death Personally, I don't even care that much about America. I've wanted to move to another country since I was little, but I have a lot of friends and family who plan to live here their entire lives. I hope they've got a better future. The world isn't something to preserve the past but what we borrow from the future. A better future is what we should always strive for.

  • @Theroha i totally agree with you... i always wanted to go out and see other countries but america is still my home so like all i want the best for it...but the way the people in power is running it i wouldnt be surprise if their was a world wide riot across america in 2012 because our government is literally destroying our future...this is the first time i seen so many young folks gettting involve in politics (im 18 by the way)

  • @Theroha Big thumbs up to this.

  • @Theroha I might be thinking too much on this, but I believe they're trying to protect themselves using the Patriot Act, NCAA, and SOPA/PIPA. Once people realize that peaceful protests aren't working, they might resort to violent measures. The extension of the Patriot Act will try to find the people that's trying to organize them, the indefinite detention of NCAA will put them into prison without a trial, and internet censorship of SOPA/PIPA will make it more difficult to rally people.

  • @2anime4ever Are you surprised? The people in power always want to cling to it no matter what. Even if it's just subconscious, the powers that be are seeing the public become discontent, and they fear that the system they have worked so hard to lean in their favor will come crashing down. It's called human nature. Power corrupts. The many outweigh the few, but the few are given power.

  • @Theroha Unfortunately, no. I am not surprised. The question is "how long can they maintain their power?" Throughout history as we know it, the power-hungry few usually end with a tragic fate despite what measures they took. But I guess we'll only know when the many finally decide when enough is enough like what happened in Libya, right now in Syria, and probably soon again in Egypt.

  • @Theroha

how many people our age even care? or are educated enough to know about this? I'd like to think there are enough of you and me who honestly believe that the new generation can change the nation for the better, but maybe I'm just too much of a pessimist

  • So sick of these Amway ads.

  • @hotverde15 At least the hand of the free market has more stimulation to economy, less inflation, and less monopolies. Remember it's one step forward from the closed hand we have now with 5 pinky rings that keeps all to itself.

  • Man cenk is more funnier than ever..lol I dont know what he is drinking.

  • I feel sorry for the hearing impaired that have to read these subtitles.......

  • So Obama is staying in Washington to cut Social Security? This entire Obama deal stinks. Obama where are the freaking jobs?!

  • @wanker89 didn't you hear? his job creation bill was that not as many jobs were lost. So instead of losing 100k jobs, only 90k jobs were lost. That is how his jobs bill worked.

  • Well, if the Senate took off, then there is no passing the bill at all. So Obama fly to Hawaii.

  • Ron Paul supporters are so fucking annoying.

  • Everytime i hear "RON PAUL 2012" i think of the scene in Hot Fuzz where everybody chants "For the greater good".. dunno why tho.

  • It's official. The GOP hates all Americans unless they are millionaires or above.

Vote these GOP bums out of every office in the land!

  • @coltor9 Ron Paul is part of that GOP that only wants to support millionaires, who is there to vote for.

  • @coltor9 Pretty fucked up...how do they have an 11% approval rating? It should be less than 1%, since thats the percentage of Americans who actually benefit from their policies!!!

  • @coltor9

    Except Ron Paul, amirite?

  • @coltor9 Republican or Democrat, it doesn't matter. Our elected officials will always be puppets as long as we allow lobbyists to influence government. Voting between Person A and Person B for POTUS and calling it a "choice" is ridiculous. Especially when they're financial contributors are basically the same (see Obama/McCain contributors list)

  • William Wallace was drawn and quartered.

  • Why does President Obama and the Senate Democrats want to take Social Security money out of the hands of seniors to pay for his tax cut ? How will Social Security be paid for when we're depleating the trust fund with this tax cut ?

  • lol Retard face Cenk made at 0:28.

  • The Republicans in the house are going to HAMMER the GOP's image with this.

  • So if payroll taxes are bad for the economy when it's 'middle class', why would then any taxes be good when it's 'middle class'? Why would any income taxes be good for the economy if these taxes are bad?

Obviously we know that all income based taxes are bad for economy, because they reduce the amount of savings and investments and allow gov't to grow beyond a percentage of the spending allocated by people, but now liberals are beginning to learn something.

  • @romanmir01 the argument i think is that under the current economic stresses that most people that this tax applies to would actually use that money, as in spend and consume. Instead of, say, giving a few thousand millionaires more money to put in their bank account. we all know by now that lowering taxes on the rich does not spur economic growth, the republitards have been trying for decades and failed.

  • @AcceptSolitude spending money on consumption of more Chinese products will not do anything positive for the US economy.

You need a course in basic economics, I suggest this: watch?v=npJ0CUT8d_Y

  • Hah! Silly Americunts, still believing that Obama will make any difference and not realizing that he is just a man who's only job to distract public and buy some time for the wall street.

Just look at them, look at them and laugh!

  • Sadly Cenk still doesn't understand that the GOP and DEM play for the same team. He uses the word "establishment" quite a bit nowadays, but he clearly doesn't get what it means. The left and right play tag pretending to fight over values they support. The right appears to screw over the middle class directly, but the left does it by copping out. It doesn't matter what side wins if the game is played like that.

  • @shadowedge69

"Sadly Cenk still doesn't understand that the GOP and DEM play for the same team."

Another lying piece of shit RonTard.

  • Cenk clearly doesn't support Obama anymore. I'm glad he finally woke up like the rest of the sheep. Ron Paul 2012!

  • @shadowedge69 you mean jewbama?

  • @shadowedge69 Cenk has been pretty strongly critical of Obama for at least two years now. So, I completely disagree with your comment.

  • 4:00

REALITY is the best enforcer! It allways has been and that´s the true reason the Soviet Union collapsed...

  • when he make the sounds, he sounds like pebbles from hon :)

  • seeing the top comments make me realize that this shit will never be over >.<

  • LOL! Stop the vid at 0:00!

    Cenk looks stoned.

  • If Obama did not want to be friends with everyone we would get everything we voted him in for.

  • @Tony007corp Exactly. He's a pussy and a sell out.

  • @Tony007corp Fair point, but I'm still suspicious that he was in on their game all along. He bows whenever he feels it's politically advantageous.

  • @Tony007corp That's bullshit. He knew from the start what he wanted, as is evidenced by him stacking his cabinet with a bunch of pro-corporate stooges.

  • @SSTTEEAALLTTHH and I suggest you ACTUALLY research the candidates. You know what they stand for, what they voted for and against, if they flipped on issues, if they did any secret deals or meeting with corporate companies. Not just 1 candidate but all of them and see who is for the people and who's for the corporate suits then make an informed vote.

  • Glimmer of hope for dems'?

  • Ron Paul 2012

  • @SSTTEEAALLTTHH when the state controls most the power it's easier for you to get heard rather then federal government. And the state knows more about what the state needs. It's easier for them to help you. The federal government is not supposed get to get in the states issues. You rather have some guy in DC telling you what's best for your state when they never been to your state? When the federal gets involved we get what we have now a fucked up government that cares more about money.

  • Quoting Braveheart?

  • maybe rep. are "screwing" things up on purpose so they lose the next election, and keep pulling the strings in the dark, then just blame it on the dem.

  • Tea Party wasn't thinking William Wallace & Braveheart ,they were thinking Lethal Weapon 3 & Leo Getz

  • Circular fire squad. That is the most euphemistic way of saying "cluster fuck" I have ever heard. And I am writing it down!

Hey republicans! Next time you decide to play Russian roulette, put away the .22 sissy gun, and do it the right way, with a .454 magnum! (In case the colorful innuendo eludes anyone, I am comparing them gambling with the livelihood of the poor, compared to the much greater livelihood of the wealthy..)

  • Circular Firing Squad... plus they forgot to put a target in the middle, now they're just senselessly shooting their own side, congratulations Republicans, that was a well designed plan... for the Democrats.

  • Great analysis

  • So in the middle of harsh economic times for so many American families, and at Christmas to boot, the middle class will see a tax increase, while just last year the super rich received a tax cut? Man my government is seriously fucked up...

  • "even obama can't screw this up." famous last words...

  • LOL I love the Republicans being akin to a "circular firing squad"!

  • Meh, he only cancelled his 17-day vacation because right-wing media pounded him on it.

  • There's a suspicious anti Ron Paul campaign on many TYT videos. How does protecting the rich fit with Ron Paul and are they suggesting that Newt Gingrich or Mitt Romney won't protect the wealthy. It feels like the old propaganda trick of accusing others of your own crimes thus defending yourself the same criticism. Suspicious how they all get about 25 thumbs up immediately..

  • @Kariakas Absolutely. Its a concerted effort.

  • @bamboo4tameshigiri so what does the constitution say about free market enterprising and the lobbying power? Does RP actually does something about it? What about the removal of the department of education? If you want to fail faster... do that

  • @robinvan1983 Your petty fears do not scare me any longer. There are more pressing issues at hand.

  • @bamboo4tameshigiri well i asked questions, not fears... but no answer...

  • @Kariakas They're all equally shit. Why would anyone vote for a Republican?

  • @inademv Because 1 of them actually believes in the Constitution and ONLY 1 of them does not want to propel this country into WW3.

  • @bamboo4tameshigiri Funny, the same was said about Obama back in '08.

  • @inademv Then be a little bitch. Sabotage the only real hope left. Don't vote or better yet, vote neonazi so we can have our civil war that much faster.

  • @bamboo4tameshigiri hah, leave it to the fascist right to push for the end of the nation. There's a reason why people laugh at you whenever you try to wedge your way into the national conversation, it's the reason why Ron Paul will NEVER be taken seriously.

  • @inademv Do your research, man. I used to think the same thing. If you truly cherish your Civil Liberties, the very thing this Country was created for, then you will vote for Ron Paul. Don't take my word for it if you if you don't want to. Do the research. It's out there. Everyone else is bought out from the Banks. Obama, especially. Voting for him was one of the biggest mistakes of my life.

  • @Brown86Town Well Ron Paul has quite the history of voting no on pretty much everything but his only memorable yes votes I can think of are for DOMA and DADT. Why should I want to put in charge of the country, a person who believes that the same government he is seeking to control should do nothing to enforce the rights of the Constitution?

  • @Brown86Town You Ron Paul guys are full of shit and just lie about looking into him well.

  • @restlesspride666 You go ahead and tell yourself that, you delusional idiot.

  • @Kariakas "How does protecting the rich fit with Ron Paul"

Because he believes the free market alone is sufficient to keep the rich from becoming too powerful. We know from the history of the robber barons of the late nineteenth century that it is not.

  • @Kariakas You're joking right? "There's a suspicious anti Ron Paul campaign on many TYT videos"? It's the opposite! There's huge pro Ron Paul presence on TYT videos, to the point that it get annoying. Even on non-political TYT videos u get 'Ron Paul 2012' comments

  • TINKY WINKY 2012!

I bet you had the same feeling you get when you read 'ron paul 2012'.

I give him credit for being genuine, but the problem is that he genuinely wants us to be at the mercy of the 'invisible hand of the free market', where the 'invisible hand' wears a million dollar pinky ring and drips the blood of average workers.

  • @hotverde15 I dunno man. I wouldnt mind a teletubby over Gingrich.

  • @hotverde15 Thank you. Finally someone here is not on the Paul bandwagon.

  • @hotverde15 "I give him credit for being genuine" I wouldn't; his career is packed with inconsistencies and obvious instances of promoting fabrications and conspiracy theories.

  • I just hate how they could leave and enjoy the holidays without worrying about the people they represent.

  • @Harry182182 Because they don't represent them. Yes it makes them assholes but a spade is a spade.

  • @TheKatyLady1 plenty

  • Damn I feel bad for obama and sum of the politicians, hafing to work around xmas time. Cenk and the TYT team too

  • RON PAUL 2012

  • LOL...HAWAII...OBAMA IS GOING TO KENYA CENK...LOL...LMAO

  • @buakawkaoklai Hawaii is not Kenya

  • @Meade556 Didn't you know there are some people out there in our nation don't have maps? (I had to go there XD)

  • @buakawkaoklai does john McCain go to panama for Christmas?

  • @buakawkaoklai HAHA.. BECAUSE OBAMA IS AFRICAN.... NO BIRTH CERTIFICATE.. NOT AMERICAN BORN.. HAHA.. LOL.. LMAO

  • I will vote but put "Not an ass hole" one the balet when I vote! lol Money needs to stay out of what makes our Presidents, Money is a corrupting evil power that will end up killing you in the end!

  • What are you guys fucking stupid? Watch the interview Cenk did with Paul back when he worked at MSNBC. He asks about cutting social security and Paul says if it came down to it he would. Period. Now, that's not to say the man is not great on so many other issues. But the ones he is bad on are so damn important and huge they outweight all the other positive ones. And to be honest, at the end of the day I have learned to trust NO POLITICIAN. None of them after Obama.

  • @ClearanceForClouds You have no other choice. Its going to be Paul or complete collapse.

  • @ClearanceForClouds Great on what issues? Ending the war in Afghanistan? Obama promised the same, are you really so much of a fool to believe a career politician's campaign promises?

  • The only reason Obama wants to cut the payroll tax is because doing so would weaken Social Security by reducing its income stream. He is hellbent on destroying the social safety net.

  • @bluesenshi THANK YOU!

  • When senators don't pass anything, the country is in better shape than if they "work"

  • @ecwaufisxtreme Obvious troll is obvious.

  • Yeah the fuck right the only reason why he is strong on this is because it depletes the Social Security fund.

  • I found it funny when in the first few seconds of the video when Cenk says "Obama has come out strong," my video started buffering.

  • Obama will screw it up.

  • @Gambrick As if he hasn't screwed up enough.

  • @Gambrick Obama 2012, 'nuff said! :D
