That is so true. I was at a disco with some friends, and one of them started dancing with a girl. Then came the girl's boyfriend, and I don't know what really happened, but they became hostile towards each other. Then I heard my friend go "Why the fuck is he acting this way? It's that his girlfriend doesn't want to hang out with him anymore"

Your point was practiced there and then, and by threatening my friend (or whatever he did/said), he proved to be an unattractive guy to his girlfriend.

Sure they do. But remember - toughness can and should be expressed in different and much more significant and attractive ways. You might just come across as a tougher guy if you don't let that get to you and you completely disregard some guy's look at a woman you are with.
