I hated what she did here. I mean I understand that Gibbs needs to share Shannon and Kelly with someone but I think his team deserves that honor...not someone that just walked into his life.

i cry every time. Gibbs is such a strong man, yet his past is so painful and broken. Its completely reasonable that his other marriages couldnt survive. He never got over Shannon and Kelly. And since he would never "share" them with any of his others wives they were missing a huge part of his life. i think if he could find someone that is OK with his job & the hours and who is willing to listen and understand what happened to his family & his guilt over their deaths, he could be happy.
She's not one of his Ex's at least not that she was married to him. That is Army Colonel Mann, she worked with him on a few cases and they 'see' each other from time to time. I am assuming that she was supposed to meet him for another one of their dates. She thought that he had laid out some music for them to listen to. I don't think she was snooping.
I think that the death of his family is one of the reasons that his other marriages never worked out, along with a few other reasons. I believe that part of him thinks he doesn't deserve to have a happy life because he failed to protect Shannon and Kelly. Logically there was nothing he could have done but deep down he doesn't see it that way. Colonel Mann did see the shinning part that he rarely shows but in the end he couldn't really open up to her, so she decided to 'retire' in Hawaii.

It is very sad. Even though I never really liked them together, the end speaks to me.
