Unfortunately, you can't try making such a thing using Blink 3D anymore, since that company has gone out of business. You could try Unity 3D, which is what I use now. They even offer a free version.
Excellent job! I wish i could walk through at my own pace, but seems like the old link doesnt work anymore. Thanks for creating this. I really enjoy it.
Such city-houses do tend to be closed on the outside walls and open in the middle. To some extent, that was a matter of security. My Virtual Roman House exaggerates this aspect of Roman house design by having only one small window to the street (in the kitchen). In reality, real Roman houses might have had more such windows, though they would have been small, high off the ground, and covered with a wood or metal grate.
I just realized that this video does not actually show the small kitchen. If you visit the actual 3D environment, though, you can go into the kitchen (it is at the far right corner of the garden) and you will see that it has a small, high window to the street, to help with ventilating the cooking area.
hi i am am tryign to creat my own roman house for m latin class and ur work here is quite amazing could u please tel me how u did urs and how i might be able to download blink3d and wetiehr it;s free or not thx please answer back qick time for the project is running out lol thx :)
Sorry, I somehow missed this. Your class must be over now, but, in case you are still interested, I'll tell you that I made the model with AC3D which is a very easy-to-use and inexpensive 3D modelling program. You could also try Google's Sketchup, which is easy and FREE. Models made with either one can be imported into Blink 3D (one version of which is free). Unfortunately, it was just announced a couple of days ago that Blink 3D has been discontinued.
Amazing! Thank you for creating the environments and sharing them!

@ggunhouse What an amazing project! I would suggest using Google Sketchup 7. It's free to use and it works wonders. Thanks!
