  • @DrummerGod182 Id love to see you post a video with this solo on it(ofc cover made by you)

  • @DrummerGod182 lol. his username is drummergod.

  • Oh my God! We have the reincarnation of Bonzo with us. Please people, let's welcome DrummerGod182

  • @DrummerGod182

it's not about how complex his stuff is, it's about how much he grooves, I'd like to see anyone be able to groove like that at nine.

  • @DrummerGod182 As you being 9, you should be listening and practicing and learning and not negative talking. You click on this guys video. Trash talking will sink you faster than you think. Let your playing do your talking.

  • @DrummerGod182 Did you learn humility on day one? It is incredibly basic too.

  • @Suddenregression Could be... I've only met him twice so the opposite could be true by way of me catching him on a few good days. That said my buddy is a huge fan too and has met him several times. Stanton hangs out with the crowd after the show, takes photos and joins in the festivities. I think it's rough for even semi-famous people to deal with fans on a regular basis. I have a very famous childhood friend who hates to leave the house at this point, but my friend is a dick! ;-)

  • @Suddenregression He's always been super nice to me. Hell of a guy IMO.

  • Stantons playing reminds me of keith carlock with those drags and bo diddley type rhythms, I'm guessing they both originate from the same part of the US.

  • @naedsukram Stanton's from New Orleans, so yes, the American South - where blues and jazz originated.

  • Stanton is the best drummer in the world.

  • When does he play the big bass

  • @Ankylophobia well.. you must be my retarded son. That was a stupid answer you gave me on my question.

  • Sound old school!! GREAT!

  • what does the light source for the bass drum do

  • @drex48239 The bass drum head is calf skin so in order to keep it taught in the rather humid Vancouver air it required a heat source. That's why we use plastic heads today.

  • @dunnettclassicdrums Ok i don't know him at all.

  • @irok75 lol yeah, soo wrong

  • Stanton reminds me of the drumming child of electronic drum&bass and Bonham put together.

  • Is that "kooks on parade"?

  • Impossible to listen to this without shaking something. Your argument is invalid, lol.

  • I clicked on this just to see him hit that giant bass drum. Is it just for show or what? I would have beat the shit out of that thing.

  • @njbc420 He is using the ludwig.. he changes to it at about 1:55 in.. it is another pedal hooked via a double pedal link (you can see his foot shift off to his right a little). If you listen, you will hear the bass drum sound change and see the ludwig start bopping.

He is definitely beating the shit out of it!

  • @njbc420 When Stanton lets loose on that 28" you know it. Always better to be in the room and this is only a small excerpts from the clinic. Go see him live. He'll change your drumming life.

  • Great vid, thanks Ronn!!!!!!!!!
