Suprisingly, the Catholic school system in Philadelphia, PA pushes this in their high schools. And they're telling us that the story in Genesis is a lie.
This is so stupid. At least scientists have "some bones" as a proof. What do christians have? A story in bible? If I'll write that the world was created by a giant purple tomato will that be also better than evolution theory? Just because "it's so obvious!" ? I'm not bashing on christianity but this song makes no sense. Their only argument is "it's so obvious"

With 300 tiny peices of bone you could peice together a skull that could look like anything you wanted. Some of those skulls have been proven to be made out of pig bones.

Some believe in God, Some in science and some in both. But can you name one time a bunch of people in lab coats have sung: "You're God is a propaganda scheme from thousands of years ago that kind of caught on"? This isn't Christian. This is hatred. And I'm sorry if this is offensive but for the first time in my life I'm finding God and this has shot my hopes out of the sky. May the God who promotes acceptance (eg. yours) have mercy on your soul.

I agree that their other songs have merit. As a die hard Blue Oyster Cult fan I love Don't fear the People. But this song does not parody a song to spread the Christian message, "love God and all men", this song places the people who have the Free Will to believe what they truly want to as the villains, as they encourage the teaching of Alternative Theories. Why am I reminded of the constant drive to encourage Creationism in Science lessons? Christianity is about Love, not who is right or wrong.
